curly Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 these things didn,t handle because they were 120kph faster than your average 71 corolla running on cross ply tyres. you don,t see to many ke 20,s in historic racing. in fact is there a corolla ever built that can compare to a 37 year old falcon 13.7 1/4 mile FACTORY. top speed 250kph. fact is you have to spend $50000 plus to get a falcon or c/dore to beat one. so my thoughts are disaster Quote

I second that notion  curly said: these things didn,t handle because they were 120kph faster than your average 71 corolla running on cross ply tyres. you don,t see to many ke 20,s in historic racing. in fact is there a corolla ever built that can compare to a 37 year old falcon 13.7 1/4 mile FACTORY. top speed 250kph. fact is you have to spend $50000 plus to get a falcon or c/dore to beat one. so my thoughts are disaster Too true, yeah i have a soft spot for rollas, but the aussie muscle car also is an important part of our automobile history. Long live the; GTR XU-1, A9X, L34, SLR5000, GTS, GTHO etc, etc :) Quote
