Jason Posted November 8, 2007 Author Report Posted November 8, 2007 (edited) things i did to day. Rip out all interior. Bar dash which will come tomorrow. Install speco fuel sender. Fix up breather lines to fuel tank, fix up bad kinks in hoses coming from fuel tank (tube point stright up into the boot now.) Get really ricy 4 in 1 tacho and manage through stupidity to blow up the shift light LED..... fix tomroow. Mange to get every finger cut up in the process of droping the tank and fishing up random bits and peices that fell into the tank. Pull volvo brakes and discks off to be machined and replaced. Tomorow ill have the tank back in and wired up, and should make a start of getting a rear fire wall sussed out and maybe start fixing up the incabin wiring. Edited November 8, 2007 by Jason Quote
Jason Posted November 9, 2007 Author Report Posted November 9, 2007 (edited) confirmed dogdy $2 pre-filter, main is ok. Looks like the filter paper had some die that was washing off... Solution, just get rid of the pre filter... 8| looks nether without it now anyway, may put another one in later on. Modding the fuel tank outlets worked excetnly, put stright up into the boot, just have make a smooth plastic cover for the new hole now... Edited November 9, 2007 by Jason Quote
Jason Posted November 9, 2007 Author Report Posted November 9, 2007 (edited) Some quick pix, also note fuel sender.... 8| Also cleaned up the immobilser and central locking, seems kinda of odd in whats going to be a striped out car, but the exterior locks are going to be thrown away after RWC and the car will only be able to be opened from the remote. (Door trigger also disabled) Edited November 9, 2007 by Jason Quote
ancullen Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 Mmm, fancy electronic trickery - I like it!!! Which reminds me - I need to reinstall the remote start & central locking alarm thingy on the ST205... Quote
Jason Posted November 9, 2007 Author Report Posted November 9, 2007 (edited) AHHHGGGGGGGG 8| just got my junction for throttle cable. f@$king dickhead told me the travel was 2inchs this is only 1.5, all the wrong dimentions and seeing if hes gona refund/replace. FFS ill see if i can get this to work tomorow but it dosnt look good. Looks like i wasted $20, so it wouldnt even be worth it since the shipping was 1/2 the cost. Though for $10 is quite a nice product  Edited November 9, 2007 by Jason Quote
Jason Posted November 12, 2007 Author Report Posted November 12, 2007 I spend way longer than what i wanted too on the throtles today i wanted them back in the car but there not even fully finished and i still need to get the adjustable terminations for the bike throttle cable. (Those screw in/out things that move the end of the cable back and forth) :) Quote
Jason Posted December 14, 2007 Author Report Posted December 14, 2007 (edited) Well after slothing around and being lazy during the heat this week, it finally backed off and with my speedo that just arrived i deiced to make a start on the dash. I had to mount the dials fairly low so I can actually see them without the wheel being in the way. I tried to take a pic from my driving perspective, but still not it, the speedo bezal just missed the wheel. And due to my cheapassiveness, all the dials are mismatched :lolcry: Edited December 14, 2007 by Jason Quote
ancullen Posted December 17, 2007 Report Posted December 17, 2007 LOL - I love the 11,000rpm tacho. Completely unnecessary number of revs, but it looks cool! Mine goes to 10,000rpm, but I intend to use 9,000 of those rpm. Good to see some work progressing! Quote
Jason Posted December 28, 2007 Author Report Posted December 28, 2007 Pulled my finger out and finished off the dash today, with the help of teddy. Have to fine the little bolt for the right indicator led and its ready to propley install -_- Quote
Jason Posted July 26, 2008 Author Report Posted July 26, 2008 Well been awile since an update! Started working on this again just over the winter holidays and fixing stuff up for RWC and blue plate. I manage to get the twin throttle linkage WORKING today. And if the motor gods are smiling then it could be running again tomorrows and no reason to go for a little squirt around the block :bash: Quote
Jason Posted July 26, 2008 Author Report Posted July 26, 2008 I might do a full walk around tomorrow if i get it all working. Quote
