adam-__- Posted April 20, 2009 Author Report Posted April 20, 2009 didnt see you at winton. . . :( unless I'm blind. lee won the comp with the ex holford motors ke70. he did awesome, not sure if you heard or not. pics look v.nice by the way. my life is spent waiting for the mailman with my Rudd check :( Yeah, didn't end up going. Diff thing was a bitch, still had open wheeler in it and had to study for a mid semester exam the next morning. And I heard about Pidwell winning the comp, go the ke's! hahah I would've thought your Rudd cash would've come in by now. :hmm: jelous much hahaha that looks all kinds of nice and comfortable good for racing round a circuit in that kind of seat didnt have to much drama mounting it did ya? and what kind of seat is it? The seat holds me nicely, for the price I can't really complain. I bought the seat with rails which were already modified to suit a KE so it was pretty much bolt in. And that issue I had about it not being centered, well lets just say I mounted the passanger rail on the driver side. :P No idea how we got it in there, but the correct, driver side rail is in there now and it's all good. :y: Umm what else is there for me to say about the car since the last update... Oh I've lowered the front of the car a little more. Installing the camber tops raised my front a little too high, it's a little more respectable height now. haha. Guard is inline with start of tyre tread. Ermm I think that's about it. Will get pics of the height if anyone's interested, if not I'll just wait till the new wheels come and get pics of that. I'll hopefully be at the next winton practice day as well. I keep saying I'll rock up to it, but hopefully the next one. :P Quote
ltzgmp-ke70 Posted April 21, 2009 Report Posted April 21, 2009 bad luck man, exams the day after? I don't have any exams haha its awesome. All essays which are easy and assignments. never the less, you missed out on one of my fave wintons :P Although its kinda better when its just a practice day cos theres more time on track. have you been up there before? yeah I'm still waiting on my money, lots of my friends still havent got it :hmm: one i get it, then things can start changing on my car, but until then, stock it is. also. . .can i have your engine? k thanks. :P Quote
adam-__- Posted April 21, 2009 Author Report Posted April 21, 2009 Yep, exams 8:30 the next morning, which was yesterday. haha And I've never been up there before. I was hoping to have gone up on Sunday just to check it out then head out on track in June, but oh well I'll just go out first time up there. Should be good being an all practice day and on a Saturday! Be careful of what you wish for! You might even get a chance to have it in your car. hahaha. I've got a spare 4AGE head sitting here and a 7AGE build keeps crossing my mind, but like you, until I get cash (Rudd money has been spent :P ) I'll make a start on it. Quote
ltzgmp-ke70 Posted April 21, 2009 Report Posted April 21, 2009 there was a lot of rollas up there on the weekend which was a nice change :hmm: again, you missed out! but i'm sure i'll be up there in june too, bf probably gonna be on track that day for his first time in the r32. that will be my fourth time up there, but ill probably have some money to be passenger by then hopefully, being poor SUCKS. i'll be your personal grease monkey for the day if you give me a 4AGE, fair trade me thinks. :P just teasin. hopefully another big rolla turn out in june, that would make me proud :P Quote

adam-__- Posted May 2, 2009 Author Report Posted May 2, 2009 (edited) Hey man, New to the forum. I havent got a car yet but I'm a huge fan of the Corollas.. I'm trying to chase up and ke70 or a ae86 can't decide whats better to my liking. plus its hard to find a good base one that you've got! Well have fun with it man. awesome read and yeah. Cya later Thanks and welcome to the forums! nice ride, its so clean and perfect the interior, very impressive interior, I stuffed one of my bits of interior putting my hydro pedal box in lol I realy shud get around to goin to the wreckers and fixing it, but I'm too lazy, nice work! again Hahaha cheers mate. The interior could be a little better, but I'm happy with it as is. No major updates. I finally got that locked diff back in and new shims. It turned out the diff I had bought had the wrong crown wheel on it. Was told it was the 3.9 ratio wheel, but turned out to be some other random shit. Said '3.9' on it, but the teeth were much larger compared to my original diff's crown wheel. That problem was easily solved by swapping the crown wheels over. Simple fix, but took quite a while for me to find out. haha. It's good to finally be able to spin both wheels again. Also had the chance to install my thermo fan switch/sensor today as well. It's a nice little unit, it doesn't only control when the thermo fans turn on, but also tell you the water, oil temperature and battery voltage (no need for random gauges). Yet to install the oil temperature sensor though. Will most likely install that when I install my oil cooler (standard 4AGE item) which will be at the next oil change (probably before the next Winton). Not much apart from that, still waiting on my wheels... Edit: Future plans are to neaten up my engine bay wiring. I was in a rush to get the motor running so it's a little messy at the moment. adam-__- Posted May 12, 2009 Author Report Posted May 12, 2009 (edited) yay for not flat dish look hot give them to me!!! Yeah, the lip is a little different compared to my Hoshino wheels (will get pics up comparing the two). Personally prefer the way Hoshino did it, but either way I'm happy. I've got a spare pair of 15x7 +5's sitting here now, you can have them. :jamie: HOT! I M PRETTY SURE I VE SEEN THIS CAR BEFORE OUTSIDE KEILOR DOWNS FIXING A T 18 LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL LOL.. Look sweet Adam How long did they take to arrive after payment? Cheers, Ben. Thanks mate, the wheels arrived 7 weeks after shipment. So a week quicker than the first time I bought stuff from Japan. There's something about purchasing stuff from overseas, you know the item's expected soon yet when it actually does turn up.. it's the best feeling. You couldn't have wiped the smile off my face both times my wheels arrived. The wheels have all been installed the way I planned and it looks tough. :D I'll try get pics soon for you all to see! Edit: I think the new wheels are too shiny. I like that weathered look. haha Edited May 12, 2009 by adam-__- Quote

adam-__- Posted May 13, 2009 Author Report Posted May 13, 2009 ive seen this car around before doing skids and hitting the gutter! dnt do them with ur new rims would be shattering Hahaha hrmm.. I didn't realise I told you about that. :jamie: Alright guys, here are some pictures. Looks much better in person so don't bag me please. haha The rear wheels are still to be sprayed black, that'll happen on the weekend. 15x7.5 -8 wearing 195/50 RE001s up front. Suspension wise, it has AE86 struts, about 190mm 8kg springs, Corona lower control arms, Cusco camber tops set to max negative, castor set to max. 15x8 -4 wearing 185/55 some random Hankooks. Wheels are only 2mm more aggressive compared to the 7.5's but being wider it gives more stretch and guard clearance. I might lower it a little more or get some 5mm slip ons. Let me know what you guys think. :D Quote
Jesseb369 Posted May 13, 2009 Report Posted May 13, 2009 That looks heaps mean! nice job, she needs a polish though :jamie: :D Quote
