My wheels are no longer for sale.

Dad cracked the shits when I took them off ready for a buyer. Told me not to waste money on wheels again. hahah

I still live under their roof so want to listen to them and make them happy as much as possible. Just me I guess.

The pictures I last posted up of the sticker and that, the passenger side had both the 15x7.5 -8 offset wheels, the driver's side had the normal fronts on and spare wheel out back.

I just wanted to see how it'll look if I put them up front and got 8" -2 offset wheels for the back (they sit as they do now if not a little weaker) so it gave me an idea.

Edit: Car's currently the way it's supposed to. 15x7 +5s up front and 15x7.5 -8 out back.

:no2:  :) Three thumbs up to you for saying that !!!!

Mate I don't really like KE70's, never have.......... I have just read right the way through this ten page thread only to work out whether your signature actually meant anything. I gotta say..... your car is cool as hell. It actually makes me think I could own a 70. You've done a sensational job. The stance, the rims, the fender mirrors and the chrome bumpers all look superb....... add to that an engine swap which caused you a few headaches and you not only have a cool car that I wish I owned, but you have learnt a heap in the process.

Gotta say that I am also impressed that you and the old boy have been working on this together. That's cool.

:hmm: Thanks mate. Means a lot to hear that. I love my car the way it is, I don't know what else to do to it apart from drive it! :sob:

I just remembered that there's something a little wrong with my car/motor. Nothing serious, just annoying.

When I start the car, pretty much drive it straight after I let it warm for ~10sec, everything goes fine. Engine warms up fine, it's when the engine is at the normal operating temperature that I start to get idle problems. It starts to hunt, but it's not a up down up down up down type of idle.

When I go for a drive and slow down to a set of traffic lights for example, the engine will stay running at ~1.5krpms, but then out of nowhere it'll drop to 1krpm then go back up to 1.5krpms. It'll then idle there till I drive off again, but if I stay at the lights for long enough, it will drop down to 1krpm then go straight back up to 1.5krpms. Anyone know what it is?

I've adjusted the TPS properly as far as I know because the throttle used to be shit until I turned it abit. haha And I've taken out the air pockets in the cooling system as far as I know, done it twice to make sure, but still here.

It's nothing serious, just annoying. If what I wrote doesn't make sense, I've got a similar problem to this guy over on twincam.info, but someone's locked the thread and I don't know how he fixed it. :sob:

Help! :hmm:

Never mind about the above problem. All sorted. Just adjusted the idle screw and all seems good now. When its warmed up completely, it idles at 1krpm now compared to 1.5k.

I've got a little something to show everyone about my car. These are the first two pictures I took of the car that is now mine. These pictures were taken when I went to check the car out. It's changed so much since then.

Nothing has changed much since the last time. I purchased new front springs though. 8kg springs which are 210mm in free length. Not too sure how high these will sit so it would be good if someone could throw a few pics up.

Thanks

Yep! That's it right there. I still have it by the way. Parents use it to buy groceries. :jamie:

From a quick search, the 210mm springs will be a bit high! hahaha I'm just buying them cause I get too many dirty looks from the men/women in blue. Just asking for trouble with its current height.

Edit: Here's a picture of the current height up front. It gets worse when you add the driver and a passanger. :P

Received and installed the new springs this evening. Very happy with the way it's come out. Not too high or too low. Here are some pictures. They're 210mm free height 8kg springs.

Sorry about the poor shots, I was taking photos with a camera which had a stuff screen.

that's a good height IMO - low enough, and wont get any attention! Its what I'm after for mine!

You running sw20 short strokes in the front of yours? Saw in your thread you were going to, but not sure if you actually did. Just curious to your setup, cause i've got standard ae86 kyb's in mine with king springs and its too high, so looking at the options now, and your setup gives the height i want atleast :)

Edit - forgot you're running 15's on your beastie - i'll only be runing 14's, so will have an inch more between the guards i reckon

My front shocks are from a ST185 Celica with KYB part number 365077. 490mm extended, 346mm compressed. Cartridge size is 332mm with an OD of 44mm.

Running 14" wheels shouldn't be much different to what mine are with 15s. Remember that you're keeping the same rolling diameter. :)
