HRV-00S Posted January 6, 2008 Report Posted January 6, 2008 Since re-building my motor the head lights aren't working, the dash lights/Parker's still work tho. I think I've checked all the fuses/relays and all seem fine. I did pull the combination switch off and one of the wires had come off so I soldered it back on and it made no difference at all, I then got the test lamp out and got nothing. Tried to trace the wires back through the harness but thought I'd ask on here before I start to strip shit out and make more work for myself. Is there something I'm missing or should check first, not much of an electronics buff so all the help I can get will be much appreciated. Cheers Harvo :P Quote
Medicine_Man Posted January 6, 2008 Report Posted January 6, 2008 mabey the bulbs are both buggered, tried ripping them out and testing them individually first? Quote
HRV-00S Posted January 6, 2008 Author Report Posted January 6, 2008 I did replace one of them a while ago, not because it was blown but it had one halogen globe and a normal globe which is the one that I replaced. Guess it wont hurt too check them again, how do you test them? Thanks for the fast reply mate Quote
pendiuu Posted January 7, 2008 Report Posted January 7, 2008 Grab really long wire and a multimeter.......first check for continuity from light switch to bulbs...thats when you need the extra long wire to make an extension for the multimeter......if continuity is present then it must be voltage....again look for voltage going to head lights....when checking for continuity make sure to disconnect the battery or you may fry the hardness......if both are present voltage and continuity then replace the switch assembly.....also check bulbs just in case....hope I helped.......
