i used to have an 1966 MGB and i was insured with shannons as i had it insured for $12000 and the yearly premium was $400 and it was rather modified with allot of stereo gear... in a convertible, granted i never had to claim but the next closes quote i got was from RAC and that was $1500. so in my book they are pretty good, still got my other cars with them as well and they are the cheapest for me. Had it on a limited drive policy, they dint want a km reading either:)

cgu aren't too bad. my ke16 is $280 for full comp with ~$2400 agreed value. thats for 24 years old as well.

 

my 911SC i had to get through Just Cars cos noone would touch it at $1250. Shannons might have done it, but they would have needed a bit of convincing. I'm gonna put that onto historic reg and weekend use rego this year to cut the costs hahaha.

 

 

Is it really only 109 for 12 months in SA?

 

and seriously Love ke70, insure you're car - sure you might drive safe and have never had an accident etc, but thats exactly what the old fool who ran up the back of my hilux said in April. He's lucky he hit my traytop not a flash car.

Tell you what though, the full comp I had on the ute with CGU paid off, they didnt bat an eyelid, just fixed my car and sued the shit out of him hahahha.

this may be a little late, but i had a 74 ke25 4age. covered for $10,000 on full com insurence and i only paid under $300 and i'm also under 25. they have this policy that if the car is over 31years [ i think ] its cheaper and if you crash you have the opotion to fix it yourself. oh its GIO sorry i forgot lol
