as above BTS, that is nobblers old twinky...my mate luke bought it, put a stock bigport in place of the busted 16v/20v hybrid.

i'm hoping to pull the 20 off the road for a bit, i want to swap gearboxes, and what better time than now, since my front uni joint decided to give way last nite :P i got a benchmark time of 18.85 so i'm happy i broke 20secs  big thanks to cam for the ride home, cutting short his night to help me out.

I'm not that fussed with calder to tell ya the truth. $65 gorillas, for 1 minute of racing if your lucky, its full of swedes, and the officials are very unforgiving to the newbies (because of the swede factor), and drag racing just isnt that challenging. the open piped big blocks are a bit heavy on the ears, but ill put up with that cos the cars are pretty awesome.

id go on a cruise to calder, but wouldnt enter a car again.. but thats just me :)

heathcote park or a winton fun day on the other hand..

to put it into comparison, an autocross/khanacross/motorkhana, is roughly $35 to enter, you can do it with a street car, with minor additions, and you will get roughly 12x the action.. and ashpalt motorkhanas aside, are alot less stressful on your drivetrain.. they also teach you more about your car and yourself than you will ever safely learn on the track.. did i mention its a little more stimulating/challenging than a drag race.

Yeah a heathcote test and tune day would probably be a better idea. I went to one with a bunch of magna guys and the ammount of runs the boys got in was crazy. Only problem is that its a bit outa the way for people if something goes BANG.

can't wait to see the Wagoon in a big... uncontrolable power slide! :jamie:

Might need some power first.

Actually, I would like to get back into some racing... if only to watch the vids afterwards and see me lookin like I have 8 arms going from lock to lock in the Val!

Might just take the Commo... hehe

Cam, your right, Drag racing isnt much of a sport in a slow car... but its only what you make of it. I had a ball killing my times when I raced and I only had a best of 16.29! Mind you, in my old Torana it was heaps more fun (and this was on the 1/8th) as it would hit boost and you would be all over the place... like a tarmac slaylom without the hats!
