greenmac80 Posted March 13, 2008 Author Report Posted March 13, 2008 man that sucks. Are you just going to get a new panel and paint it the same colour? Yep i still have about a litre of paint left over.. that'll easily cover it! Quote
78_7kRolla Posted March 14, 2008 Report Posted March 14, 2008 That sucks dude, because it was looking so good. Been hanging to see this painted! Your next objective should be to get a set of ke30 rear lenses. With the chrome sorrounds it will make the paint look even better. Matt. Quote
Palmy Posted March 14, 2008 Report Posted March 14, 2008 shit! thats a kick in the nuts. feel sorry 4 u mate. would sell u panel off my parts car but i banged them up a bit lol. good luck with the next panel.... :jamie: Quote
canna Posted March 14, 2008 Report Posted March 14, 2008 f@$k what a bummer dude. my heart goes out to you. all that hard work then BANG some old timer hits you. she goin to pay for the damage to it. Quote
Murd 55 Posted March 14, 2008 Report Posted March 14, 2008 glad i got to see her while she was still in one piece :hmm: hehe easy fix thou.. not like my dent.. friggin rear quarter hits for the loss!!! Quote
leorolla1975 Posted March 16, 2008 Report Posted March 16, 2008 hey man, i just sat back and read that entire thread start to finish.. you've done a wicked job. I'm guessing the dent is new then since we met on the cruze??? anyway thats an awesome read!!!!! anything i need a hand with ill be in touch. Quote
WinKE55 Posted March 17, 2008 Report Posted March 17, 2008 shit! thats a kick in the nuts. feel sorry 4 u mate. would sell u panel off my parts car but i banged them up a bit lol. good luck with the next panel.... :hmm: Ouch.. I'd be spewing. And probably trying to hold myself back from pushing the driver. And it is one kick in the nuts too.. I've got a replica panel, but it will take too much fart assing around to stick it onto your corolla. Only other panels I have, will have rust in the lower quarter and a few dings in it. Quote
greenmac80 Posted March 22, 2008 Author Report Posted March 22, 2008 Ok Update people.... The corolla is dead.... blew out cylinder number2.... now looking for a decent block..... if anyone has one in adelaide that they can part with.. then please PM me! Quote
Clapped out Posted March 22, 2008 Report Posted March 22, 2008 Sounds like you put a rod through the side of the block yeah? cheers phatke30! Quote
KE70-from-mt-panorama Posted March 23, 2008 Report Posted March 23, 2008 Maybe you shouldnt have painted it... Well maybe its just a subtle hint from the car that "well i look good but i need more get up and go to go with it!!" Maybe a time for your 7k upgrade Quote
67Rolla-Ken Posted March 23, 2008 Report Posted March 23, 2008 This is getting worse every time I look  My Rolla is in the process of a bare metal respray, I would be shattered if someone hit her soon after! Good luck with the repair. Quote
greenmac80 Posted March 23, 2008 Author Report Posted March 23, 2008 (edited) Nah i the second cylinder rings are gone!. so it still runs but its lumpy as hell.. i need some rings.... but my the block is tired... so i may as well get another one. and i need it on the road asap! Actually i'm thinkin of just building a tough 4k... maybe turbo... slappin it in then finishing the interior. then perhaps sell it and i'm leaning towards buying a soarer. but that is a year or so down the track! Edited March 23, 2008 by blackrolla80 Quote
67Rolla-Ken Posted March 23, 2008 Report Posted March 23, 2008 I upgraded from a Soarer to the KE10  They are great.... but expensive to keep. A timing belt kit is ~$1600 (not fitted) and they are too technical to work on at home. I loved my Soarer but $11,000 maintenance in one year.... Quote
leorolla1975 Posted March 23, 2008 Report Posted March 23, 2008 yep, stick with the old car, nothing can overpower a shifting spanner and a phillips head screwdriver! Quote
Murd 55 Posted March 24, 2008 Report Posted March 24, 2008 not having much luck are you... quite glad i got to see her before she died. Quote
