greenmac80 Posted March 14, 2010 Author Report Posted March 14, 2010 cheers mate. used protec high build 2 pack primer. a ppg basecoat and DNA 2 pack clear. very good quality paints but i get the stuff cheap so it's doable! knackered now tho. Quote

Jason KE30 Posted March 14, 2010 Report Posted March 14, 2010 Haha I like the example car you used. Too bad it wasn't actually my car we painted. Turned out awesome though Luc. Did the gun end up being alright? Quote

greenmac80 Posted March 14, 2010 Author Report Posted March 14, 2010 pretty sure we can come to an arrangement of some sort! pm me if your keen. jason yeah it was aight.. i reckon for topcoats though really need an even smaller needle and fluid tip. but was almost what we needed. i'll clean it up and shiz this week. JiP Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 HOLY CRAP!! Dude thats awesome!! Gone from one extreme to another. Love the whole set up you've got down there and you sure do have skills. >| Quote
-=KE30=- Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 looks sweet man.. 100% better >| feel free to paint mine if you like haha Quote
Murd 55 Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 what size fluid tip were u using? for basecoat and clears we use at work 1.3-1.4mm and then primer like 1.8mm looks pretty good for a days work!! i thought that looked like jasons car then i was like wow the primer ate the rust and put real metal back >| Quote
Jason KE30 Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 Haha. The first pic is my car, but the original ke30 was in similar condition when the job got underway. Quote
greenmac80 Posted March 15, 2010 Author Report Posted March 15, 2010 fluid tip was 1.4mm. its almost what i want i reckon i want 1.2mm just for the finer atomisation. makes all the difference when spraying high metallic basecoats. the job was dodgy ish... guy didn't car one bit so NO panelling was done all dents were left etc. my painting was quite good. second car i've done so i've almost got it completely sussed. environment let it down big time. huge amounts of crap on the bonnet and roof. but we have plans to build an enclosed section to act as a spray booth. bmxsexmonkey Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 aah dude this was soo the hackham special i'm still picking my nose with lipstic coloured boogers hahha. just to clarify NO panel work means NO panel work. like we boged a massive rust hole and the owner started to sand it then cbf soo you can clearly see the bog hahaha. and now that the supercharger in her works she is really BANGIN Quote
bmxsexmonkey Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 oh and i look like the biggest queer in all of the photos haha Quote
SLO-030 Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 How does it go with 2 superchargers now? Notice the difference much? Quote
