greenmac80 Posted July 16, 2009 Author Report Posted July 16, 2009 funny story trying to get the cank bolt off.. had a flywheel bolt in one of the hole. a pole jammed up against that and the engine stand. breaker bar and socket on the main bolt..... not strong enough..... i aint weak either..... what have i got nearby...... hmmmm i used a leaf spring on the end of the breaker bar!! still was hard to get off! greenmac80 Posted July 19, 2009 Author Report Posted July 19, 2009 did some work to the rolla. engine bay is probs about 60% stripped back to metal. come to realise that i can't finishe of the rear end until i can get my rotisserie. welding underneath a car just aint fun. i have the rotisserie just nee d to modify it a bit. but i need to be back at work for that. so engine bay is getting all the attention atm. greenmac80 Posted July 20, 2009 Author Report Posted July 20, 2009 yeah pics will come when i've got it all stripped and i start refinishing it. for the moment i've had two deliveries today! this one will be the centre piece for my custom boot skin covering. and this will ensure my 9000rpm limiter won't cause engine failure! oh what a nissan feeling! Posted July 20, 2009 Report Posted July 20, 2009 Soooo, once youre engine bay is stripped, do you wanna do mine? I am not looking forward to that part :) Nice work! :P Quote
greenmac80 Posted July 20, 2009 Author Report Posted July 20, 2009 lol NO!! it is not easy wish i could use a hand snadblaster but where the car is it'd be too messy. Quote
SLO-030 Posted July 20, 2009 Report Posted July 20, 2009 Soooo, once youre engine bay is stripped, do you wanna do mine? I am not looking forward to that part :) Nice work! :P paint stripper made it pretty easy. just use a plastic scraper like a spatula. or let it dry up a bit and use steel wool, takes it back to bare metal real good 8/ Car actually looks liek its making progress now that 85% of the outside is mianly one colour (primer) Quote
67Rolla-Ken Posted July 20, 2009 Report Posted July 20, 2009 Wow, this thing is going to look mad once it's done! Quote
