Does this mean that when doing 60MPH, the gauge will read 100MPH.....which in actual fact is really 100KM/H. So its just a matter of adjusting your mindset to realise this?

 

Yes it will convert to KM even the distance counter will be in km from then on.

Are those converters still being made? They were probably on the shelf of every parts store in the country around the time we changed to kph... Judging by the dust (and the 6 digit phone number on the packet) I'm assuming they're n.o.s. thats been sitting 'out the back' for a zillion years :o

Mine are new old stock but i have fitted new converters to American trucks, I think they would still be available at a good instrument shops, I found this link,

yeah, mine came with one, but now has a mph one as i hacked a tacho and volt meter into it.

 

going to switch back to the unmolested kmh when the car goes back on the road unless someone offers me good money for it as i have a few MPH ones still ok.
