Bowler Posted August 24, 2009 Report Posted August 24, 2009 I Just realised when you took those shots. Kinda cut that I missed that meet too. but will be good to catch-up and talk shop on sunday...cheers Quote
Doogs Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 just make sure you get a decent offset so they fill out the guards well, your current wheels would look heaps better if they sat out a little more especially at the rear IMO Agreed. Same goes for the new rims, will look tops if they are the right offset. Quote
78_7kRolla Posted August 25, 2009 Author Report Posted August 25, 2009 how did u get out of the car when your parked in the middle of a F**K off sized puddle? thinking you brought your wellingtons? sweet picks, the new wheels idea is cool, IMO they really only look 100% on cars with flares and dropped to the weeds. if your coughing up 900 for them you might want to do some more measuring and reasearch. cheers, scott Haha, i was really smart as i got someone else to take them while i hid out of view inside the car! Really appreciate everyones opinions on the wheels. Keep it coming. (i can take positive and negative feedback too!) Matt. Quote
muzke30 Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 Looks awsome Matt and IMO the rims suit it as has a flashy color mayb wouldnt as much on diff color but i like it :y: Quote
78_7kRolla Posted October 22, 2009 Author Report Posted October 22, 2009 A sort of non-update update if you like. Blew the diff on the weekend unfortunately. This means no more looking for old school wheels and now started hunting for an r31 skyline diff (to be shortened and fitted with lsd) and townace w56 gearbox (means converting to a hydraulic clutch). Let the hunting, spending and customising begin/continue. Matt. Quote
cuzzo Posted October 22, 2009 Report Posted October 22, 2009 you don't want a w56, you want a w55/7 or 8 w56 wrong ratios, more built for a .....van? Quote

anastasios Posted October 22, 2009 Report Posted October 22, 2009 that box and diff combo sounds like a bit of overkill? Quote
crispyke35 Posted October 22, 2009 Report Posted October 22, 2009 ^^^ why would it be an overkill, maybe a bit heavier but you would never break anything again. buy the way your rolla looks awesome 78_7krolla Quote
Doogs Posted October 22, 2009 Report Posted October 22, 2009 Bit of a bugger about the diff, should have no problems with an R31 one though. Spose an LSD is a bonus as well... Quote
Taz_Rx Posted October 23, 2009 Report Posted October 23, 2009 explain how? Go look in the FAQ. Cuzzo he's probably thinking a W56 as thats whats attached to the 7K bellhousing from a townace. Quote

Taz_Rx Posted October 23, 2009 Report Posted October 23, 2009 Do you agree he should put a w56 in his car? 55/7/8 should is the same bellhousing Nah thats not what I'm saying, just ellaborating on why he has said thats what he'll use. I've never really had a lot to do with alloy case W's so I (and I'm sure Matt) am more than happy to take some advise from you on the ratios etc from personal experience. :lolcry: Quote
