whoops, sorry missed your question earlier,

i had a custom radiator made when i first did the conversion about 4 years ago, it takes up the entire room between the chassis rails with about 20mm spare either side to squeeze the bumper in.

It cost $580 at the time, although i've been told it would cost nothing less than $1000 these days. :P

I got my doors back from the sandblaster yesterday.

I only got him to only blast the backs of them, and round the frames, for $100,

not willing to risk some distorted panels, especially with corolla tin can metal :(

I got a quote for soda blasting for $500, and decided that was a little too pricey.

So i got out the paint stripper to bring the fronts back to bare as well.

And finished them off with the purple scotch brite pad.

The most perfect set of doors i could hope for, never had a spot of rust in them.

It has started raining now, so will have to wait till tomoz to put the etch on. :P

Been really getting into this thing lately.

Have bought a daily driver commo for $1000, so now i have no need to get my ke25 going until i can be bothered.

CIMG2640.jpg

Have got three of my doors dead straight and in etch.

The last one needed extra attention, and is nearly there. The bog is extremely thin.

CIMG2641.jpg

Cut off my old fuel filler, it used to pool water in it. And welded the boot lip back in.

CIMG2635.jpg

Added new filler behind number plate.

CIMG2636.jpg

CIMG2637.jpg

Rear quarter is straight now as well, the other side is close.

CIMG2642.jpg

A small rust patch in my lower rear end, all fixed now.

CIMG2633.jpg

And todays work..

Sanded off both sills to inspect the condition, a dint to pull out on one side, :y:

CIMG2629.jpg

And a tiny bit of rust to weld up at the front of the passenger side

CIMG2630.jpg

and thats about it so far......

Have been busy stripping the door openings of the car to bare metal,

CIMG2647.jpg

Found some small rust patches on the way, one in the front lh cowl vent. :P

CIMG2648.jpg

..and one tiny one below the front lower hinge on both sides

CIMG2650.jpg

Also got my filler cleaned up, and painted in some etch primer.

CIMG2646.jpg

I have tomorrow off work, so will hopefully finish getting the last of the little paint bits off,

and have it all in etch by the arvo :(

Then a bit more welding to do i guess :hmm:

A bit of seam welding we must have done last time i did a rebuild

CIMG2656.jpg

Got the etch painted, now its all sealed i can stop stressing about it rusting.

A bit stuck for something to do this arvo, i really need to cut out and weld the rust patches i found.

Only problem is my bro took his mig back, my old mans is broken down, and my pos has no gas yet. :)

The oxy is here, but i need permission to use it as the old man is quite protective of his gas.

:jamie: oh well, i might pull the fuel tank out
