oh what a nissan feeling! Posted December 2, 2009 Author Report Posted December 2, 2009 I must love it too, it is a rusty pig, I always used to say 'if a car has rust in the roof it is not worth repairing'. Now look at me! will find some more pics... Quote

KESR20 Posted December 3, 2009 Report Posted December 3, 2009 hey was it hard to get the sr20 in? I'm not to sure if i should go that route just yet with a ke36, but i don't know if it will fit or not ? or the difficulty it was.. Quote
oh what a nissan feeling! Posted December 4, 2009 Author Report Posted December 4, 2009 p platers are allowed no mod plates this includes engine conversions, so unless you own a silvia.......... Conversion is quite straight forward, would require a welder and a fair bit of mechanical knowledge though. Quote
beerhead Posted December 4, 2009 Report Posted December 4, 2009 Its awesome to see your fixing that old wagon, such a rare car on the road, I've never seen one drive by. What kind of stall rpm will the auto be setup at on the SR? Quote
dfunkt Posted December 4, 2009 Report Posted December 4, 2009 MS53 by the looks of it. there's a few around sydney with a myriad of engines...7M-GTE, 2JZ-GE :D rides thread for the wagon??! Quote
oh what a nissan feeling! Posted December 4, 2009 Author Report Posted December 4, 2009 Thanks for the support guys, it makes it feel like i made the right choice not to scrap it. MS57 to be precise, same car, different front panels. It has a 7mg, no 't' . Was thinking about a rides thread, I'm so random though, it might drop out of sight again for a few more years, who knows?! Stall will be around the 4g to 4.5 mark Brad, just bought a .82 split rear housing for the turbo, so will need the extra spool time. If youre ever on the sunny coast, give us a call to catch up! oh what a nissan feeling! Posted December 18, 2009 Author Report Posted December 18, 2009 well. sort of an update.. Damn pos pajero chucked the bottom end in yesterday, you could hear it from 5 blocks away, hmmm. So i own 5 cars, pajero, ke25, ke30, crown, vt commodore, and the only one that goes is the f'ing vt commodore -selling. So ive borrowed mums car.......at the age of 26. shiiiiiiiiiiiiit. Any ways, bought a larger rear housing for my gt30, as the .63 is no longer suited to my requirements. Also looks like the commo is sold, will know tonight, so that will buy my stall converter, and ignition system if all goes well. Might make some bodywork progress over the break, might not, depends if the cricket is on. Quote
oh what a nissan feeling! Posted January 23, 2010 Author Report Posted January 23, 2010 update number 2. My sr20 head has a mild port job, solid lifters, adj. cam gears, good springs, 10mm lift cams. Have pulled it down now to fit 1mm oversized valves, 12.5 lift solid cams, and possibly upgrade the porting too. Engine bay is getting there after some serious panel work, and smoothing work, still some detail to go though. Crown has taken over the time and shed for now though. Quote
oh what a nissan feeling! Posted February 5, 2010 Author Report Posted February 5, 2010 update......ish. tomie cams arrived today, solid 272, 12.5 lift. head is at the shop getting oversized valves fitted, looking at cnc porting atm, will see what i happens. australia all out for 127, hmmm, could be a good game......i hope!!?? oh what a nissan feeling! Posted February 15, 2010 Author Report Posted February 15, 2010 just bought hurst shifter for this, and naprec valve springs. undercoated roll cage and touched up the floor. also painted inside the boot today, it turns out the crown and rolla have the same colour interior, so i could paint the crown dash and rolla at the same time.
