harun Posted December 17, 2007 Report Posted December 17, 2007 So do these figures include the kw gains by the amount of performance stickers you have on your car.
dookie Posted December 17, 2007 Report Posted December 17, 2007 just like if you own a vl.....if you put a bresciani or rajab sticker on it...it means its a race car :o
KE555k Posted December 17, 2007 Report Posted December 17, 2007 Give them a chance guys, no need for shooting down or discouraging comments at this point, its not an unreasonbale expectation out of a 1.5L engine, but in saying that. Lets see the sheet! i've got a 5k with extractors, full exhaust, twin 40mm webers, ported head and high comp, Pistons, full balanced bottom end and electronic dizzy, can't remember cam but bordering race cam...what would i be looking at?
madrolla68 Posted December 17, 2007 Report Posted December 17, 2007 My first 5K was completely dead standard with a 3K carby on it...I pulled the engine out of the van myself (91 model with under 100K km's on it) and it ran 40rwkw. So to more than double that power without boost would require a fairly massive amount of work...So maybe along with a dyno sheet you could tell us what was done to this 89kw 5K? You not talking to me hey!!!!!!!!
Rollaboy2608 Posted December 17, 2007 Report Posted December 17, 2007 and most of us know that a dyno sheet can be made to say, pretty much anything you want really
madrolla68 Posted December 18, 2007 Report Posted December 18, 2007 and most of us know that a dyno sheet can be made to say, pretty much anything you want really True but we tend to talk about good achievements not bullshit dyno sheets. And we all know who talks crap and who tells the truth.
LittleRedSpirit Posted December 18, 2007 Report Posted December 18, 2007 Although it sounds unlikely, its completely possible, but we shall see if the sheet appears now, wont we. Ive heard of high revving 5ks pulling well over 100kw atw.

My point exactly, Like i said i don't think there is alot of stock 5k left in them motors.
7shades Posted December 18, 2007 Report Posted December 18, 2007 I have a 4K-U with weber, headers and exhaust which quite comfortably eats commodores for brekky.... What do I win?
