Johno Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 sounds great, is that the 86kw bluetop motor? Don't you run the risk of cracking the head without the radiator connected? Oh yeah, 100kms in first... nice! Picks up pretty well :) Quote

Oh yeah, 100kms in first... nice! Picks up pretty well :) Yeah. Nah it was only running for a short time. Picks up better now that i did a home wheel alignment, When i put the manual rack in it was running 30mm toe out (15 each side) so i did a wheel alignment and its now running 2mm toe in (1mm each side) so there is less drag through the front end. It'll pick up better again if you get rid of those tall tyres dipshit... :) Quote
Trev Posted March 7, 2009 Author Report Posted March 7, 2009 I finally got around to installing the factory air box and put my k&n panel in it, I no longer have the 4500rpm onwards pod power sound but it seems to have better bottom end torque but lacks top end. Quote
Johno Posted March 8, 2009 Report Posted March 8, 2009 Oh well, you win some, you loose some. As a daily driver i'm sure its better to have the bottom end torque rather that reving the guts out of it to get power. If you give it stick on takeoff, can it spin the wheels without the handbrake? Have you seen that movie called stuck on you? That asian girl take's off in her car wheelspinning through the whole carpark. :locked: Quote

Trev Posted August 1, 2009 Author Report Posted August 1, 2009 Chucked it on the dyno at work a few weeks ago and it mad 89.5hp at the wheels. Quote
Trev Posted May 3, 2010 Author Report Posted May 3, 2010 Looking for pics for the donor thread so I thought I would add some to this thread. I wonder how long the 4AC auto box will hold up to the 4AGE power. Auto is still going goo, If it breaks I will put a later AE82 auto in it with electronic O/D. Hopefully the motor and box will be coming out shortly so I can fix the oil leaks, fit the new timing belt kit and give it a quick tidy up, Had a guy ask the other day if it was a 4agze, This thing might of only made 90hp but it is stupidly fast for what it is, Even my vtec loving sister thinks so. Johno Posted May 3, 2010 Report Posted May 3, 2010 Haha, I wondered where this thread went to. I guess its a daily so theres not much to update ay? Did you ever swap the twinky suspention over? Quote

Trev Posted May 4, 2010 Author Report Posted May 4, 2010 Thats a quick corolla auto good stuff. makes me want to get one as a daily haha You can't, You have to make one :bash: I know I'm not meant to say this on here but the guy that asked if it was a GZE was driving a mirage with what he said was a quite a bit of money spent on it, Cam, Exhaust, Intake and some other sh1t, Reckons nothing has got him before. Trev Posted June 24, 2010 Author Report Posted June 24, 2010 Hopefully the engine and trans are coming out next week to have the oil seals and timing belt replaced so the belt stops slapping and oil stops leaking. Quote
Trev Posted July 10, 2010 Author Report Posted July 10, 2010 (edited) I have everything I need apart from spare flex plate bolts to do the tidy up, List: Timing belt kit - Timing belt, Crank seal and tensioner pulley. Cam seals (do not come in kit) Brand new crank timing gear incase the one on it is stuck. Rear crank seal. Exhaust gasket. Also the other other day I pulled out of work and did a high rpm neutral drop which seen me doing a double legger surrounded by smoke and almost into the gutter across the road, I keep forgetting that it doesn't do single spinners :P Edited July 10, 2010 by Trev Quote
