Trev Posted February 17, 2009 Author Report Posted February 17, 2009 This is getting set back another 6 months, A very substancial 'body' upgrade is happening, I have spoken to another member about getting parts for me which will most likely happen in August but once it is done it will be very unique and will have alot of car owners (especially chev, holden & ford) raising their eyebrows in disbelief. Ben-89 Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 No its a Chevrolet Nova, a GM equilivent, of the Toyota in the US. Toyota and Chevrolet did what Toyota and Holden did in the 90's with their "Button Plan" where two manufacturers join to produce cars to increase local car production etc... I noticed that those front guards don't have the deep groove above where the rub strip goes on locally made Toyotas. Instead its flat. Quote
Johno Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 Looks pretty nice. I was thinking of doing something on the front end on my car. A bit of Mistishity on the front. Well mainly just the bonnet and adding a spoiler but to much worrying about. Oh yeah, welcome back to the forums! Thought we lost you :D Oh and one more thing.. did you pack that piece for me? Quote

The last few years I hae been keeping an eye out on the US ebay for front end parts and you never get anything but there is one on there that is getting wrecked out altho I don't know how much of the front end is needed for the conversion so I know someone that is going over there soon and is going to get the info & parts and send them over. Try to track down a FXGT front bar for it, Terry (my boss) has a spare but he wont budge to sell it to me so I gave up, ha. You did but friends werent happy to see me leave and the missus joined as RC is a family thing for us and I thought bugger it, I can't be without it. Quote
Johno Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 (edited) What does the back end of the car look like? The same as the 82 seca or slightly different? Have you thought about shipping a Chev-rolla over in one piece? What would the cost be to bring over a wreck, $1000? Plus buying the car, total of maybe 1400? its better doing that than worrying about forgetting some parts and having to chase them up. That way you would do the job better and see the car in the flesh and know exatcly how everything bolts up. Edited February 19, 2009 by Johno Quote

I have but I would want to import a Chevy Nova Twincam which would not be cheap, From what i can see i would need: Bonnet Guards Grille Bumper Light surround panel Headlights Indicators Radiator support Front wiring harness (or make my own) Sorry bout the late reply or lach ok PM but i don't have that exhaust part, I must of gave it to Terry, There is another twincam seca here that is about to be stripped so you could get the one off that if you wanna wait.
