Trev Posted December 3, 2007 Author Report Posted December 3, 2007 You should know how stuffed the clutch is after i was able to put the hand brake on and let the clutch out in every gear and rev it like its in neutral and the clutch plate rivets left a groove in the pressure plate :jamie: Quote
KE30_KE35_KE55 Posted December 3, 2007 Report Posted December 3, 2007 You really did get your moneys worth with that clutch. Quote
Trev Posted December 3, 2007 Author Report Posted December 3, 2007 You really did get your moneys worth with that clutch. Clutch was in it when i got it, Paid $700 for the car 2 years ago and threw rego on it in august last year and realised the clutch was slipping so i just drove it everyday up until july when i lost my licence, It had a PBR clutch in dunno if it was the original or not. Trev Posted December 30, 2007 Author Report Posted December 30, 2007 Started on the proper CAI setup today, It should perform very well and make a decent sound, I also no longer have the standard water trap but will modify the intake plate i am making to have an auto drain in it, PICS - Water seperator: Now a straight forward intake: Rough sketch of how it will sit on the guard, You have the opening, The outer part of the duct and then the part that will be cut out: My daughter took a pic while i was mucking around with it so i thought id post it: The duct/scoop I'm trying to get is similar to the XW GT SMALL - FBS44: The intake plate will look something like this: And it will be attached to the intake with a pipe clamp and will seal up against the guard with some window or door rubber. If you want. This is one of the other things i am working on and i decided how i should do it today and made a quick sketch is an adjustable rear bonnet support as no matter how many times you shim the bonnet it still hits the wipers, My 1st thought was to make it short/long adjustable like a panhard rod but realised that it would put too much stress on the hinges or start to bend them so i came up with this one: It will sit between the bolts and the hinge so the bonnet still sits flush, The adjuster will just be a bolt with a rubber cap on it that will push the bonnet up, The length of the support will just be matched to the spacing of the holes as they are now. Trev Posted January 2, 2008 Author Report Posted January 2, 2008 Slim (4ages) came around yesterday and we were looking over a few things and on closer inspection i realised that the bonnet support just wont work due to the lack of space so I'm just gonna put up with it. Quote

Trev Posted January 17, 2008 Author Report Posted January 17, 2008 looks a little out of place in the seca though, but hey double din FTW Why, its only just sitting there as i didnt wanna screw it all up and take it back out. Looks good. Actually fits good too, No interference from the fan system. Quote
Pure-SX Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 I have the same problem with my ae82 sedan with the bonnest rubbing on the wipers when opening/closing :D Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 Wrong wheel drive don't deserve bonnets that clear the wipers :D Quote
