Ke30Liam Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 ahhhh :) last page. i just read all that and the story ended. lookin awesome dude, can't wait to see it finished. Quote
Sim Posted November 9, 2008 Author Report Posted November 9, 2008 thanks for the comments guys :y:. its gonna be a shade of blue Jono, me n my mate ar gonna mix up a custom shade for it. not really gonna be many more pics for the time being, just trying to sort out afew things while ive got it at home before it goes to get the panel work done. hoping to get my struts finished soon from getting my brake upgrade done so i can dummy fit them. finally decided on what brake system i want to run, i'll be keeping the clutch master what it is now as it works fine however. ill be running a nissan patrol 1" master, dual circuit with a VH44 remote booster mounted on the passenger side of the firewall, will be nice n tight but i have no where else to put it. gonna hopefully sort out some parts this week n try have them for the weekend so i can get them all fitted up. PMP020 Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 if you realy get stuck for room Sim, the beauty of a VH44 is you can fit is nicely on the inside of ur car. passenger side under the dash. they fit i sussed it out a few years back. but i didnt have a glovebox compartment, this may change things a little. get a few picks once you got the brakes dummyed up. cheers, scott Quote
Sim Posted November 10, 2008 Author Report Posted November 10, 2008 i had a good chat to a brake bloke today, told him what brakes I'm running and was asking about boosters n all that, he prety much said that with the big brakes I'm running at the front + installing a larger master (1"), the addition of a booster wouldn't really be required unless i really want that nice soft pedal feel, which I'm not too fussed about really. so for the time being I'm gona stick with the upgraded master and see how it goes braking wise, if its not upto scratch for me ill get a booster for it. but as long as it brakes adequetly for the engineer without the booster, there won't be a problem. Sim Posted November 11, 2008 Author Report Posted November 11, 2008 got my new brake and clutch master cylinders today, all nice n new! the brake master pretty much fits straight into the original mounting for the old master cylinder, just need to open up the hole in the firewall a lil bit n it will be sweet. just need to switch the pedal rod from the old cylinder to the new one then i can trial fit them :bash: Quote
Sim Posted November 15, 2008 Author Report Posted November 15, 2008 new brake and clutch masters are fitted up now, the brake master was a piece of piss to fit, the clutch master however needed afew holes redrilled n abit of cutting etc to fit nicely, dunno what the previous owner had done to it lol. still need to clean it up abit but it all fits so I'm happy. 13BT_KE20 Posted November 15, 2008 Report Posted November 15, 2008 looks good, but it will be interesting to see how much clearance you have when the motor is in..... Quote
Sim Posted December 6, 2008 Author Report Posted December 6, 2008 got my front brake setup today finally, dummy fitted everything up and it looks sweet, stripped everything off bar the hubs so i could chuck my shitty stock rims on etc so its prety much ready to goto the panel shop now. its nice n snug but everything fits sweet, the kit consists of polished VE commo calipers, BA rotors and gemi hubs with ford 5 stud convo. heres some pics.
