JiP Posted February 8, 2008 Author Report Posted February 8, 2008 This came today. Here is my one in my car. Its missing the selector part on the side. This pic shows the one I bought at the wreckers, my one and the new one. Not sure If I'm going to put the new one on. I will use the mirror part and the clear plastic part but as for the main section, until the other selector breaks it will be in the shed. I like the original ones better as they are metal too. Quote
Clapped out Posted February 9, 2008 Report Posted February 9, 2008 aaaahhhh the memories..............seeing the old blue hardtop in the background! cheers phatke30! Quote

JiP Posted February 19, 2008 Author Report Posted February 19, 2008 I got my mats today. And the good news is that they cover the areas that the carpet had been cut out. Its a quick fix so I can have her rego'd sooner. I will get new carpet eventually but this just means I can spend my money elsewhere. (Like rust repairs). Quote
JiP Posted February 26, 2008 Author Report Posted February 26, 2008 (edited) Okay, not a big update but still an update. I met up with a member that was on here a little while ago today. He is into Celicas. I went to him because I heard that the TA22 Celicas had the same seat adjusters as the KE2x's. That sounds about right since Toyota was cheap and made one part to fill all. **CAMERON, you can keep the one you stole out of my car, I know where I can get dozens more!!** Lastly PHATKE20s is getting me a bonnet latch, YAY!!! Now I can cut the zip ties off!! Edited February 26, 2008 by JiP_01 Quote
camerondownunder88 Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 John Light years ahead of you mate. I got 3 TA22 celica adjusters sitting on my desk. One is anodized to :jamie: Also I stole your adjuster when the car wasn't yours so :P And Trevs mate still has it so mm I don't actually have that one..LOL Cameron Quote
smeetsy1 Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 Toyota were not cheap for making one part fits all, they were simply smart! Quote

JiP Posted February 27, 2008 Author Report Posted February 27, 2008 Finnaly got the mirror sorted. I pulled the best bits from each one. The seat adjuster is in too. Fits perfect. Only thing now is the pick up the bonnet latch and fix the drivers side mat down. Quote
PMP020 Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 were u able to fit the non genuine lense cover to the original mirror?????? if thats that is the best thing since sliced bread. cheers, scott Quote
PHATKE20S Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 Mate that mirror looks fairly good. The old girl is turning out quite nice indeed. A tidy up can make a hell of a difference hey, Well done. See ya next week. Quote
JiP Posted February 28, 2008 Author Report Posted February 28, 2008 Yeah, so basicly its an old mirror, with the non genuine lense and mirror. I wasn't too happy with the thai switch section as the whole thing was plastic instead of metal. Quote
JiP Posted March 19, 2008 Author Report Posted March 19, 2008 Well today was a day that I crossed off a couple things from my list. For starters here is the cars together for a photo shoot. Now here's my new $0.99 Universal Joint from Ebay. I spent some time changing the worn one and now she is such a smooth drive. Now here's the stock radio. Just wondering if anyone knows if the other knob is meant to be blank or labeled as I need to find one. And lastly I noticed my other window winder isn't like this one. So knowing Dougie will be viewing this thread... Do you have one?? HINT HINT Quote
