demuire Posted October 23, 2004 Report Posted October 23, 2004 Steering wheel: Steering puller is your best bet, normal puller also works but a bit more hassle. You can also try to pry it off with a breaker bar or big screw driver, but more difficult and lower success rate. Just out of interest - why the monster tacho? Since the Camry already has a stock tacho option. Just for the sake of having a monster tacho? Quote

Just for the sake of having a monster tacho? yeah that and my cable on the indash tacho keeps breaking so yea less chance of that happening now i gues. but yeah a few people have asked me that and so thats the answer. cheers trent. Quote

I thought it was going to be impossible to get the corollas off when I first changed it but after a bit of thumping and wiggling it came free. Just don't get out the hammers...or get too rough Quote

Super Jamie Posted October 24, 2004 Report Posted October 24, 2004 (edited) from what i've heard, anything above the factory dashline is considered a defect? restricting driver view and/or able to cause injury. you might want to call an engineer or registration tech enquiries and find out Edited October 24, 2004 by Super Jamie Quote
Redwarf Posted October 24, 2004 Report Posted October 24, 2004 Trent, save your money and bypass the mandrel bent exhaust. You don't need it. By all means replace the exhaust if it needs it, but you don't need to go that far. Put the money towards something like decent suspension, a brake pad upgrade or decent tyres. Remember, you get what you pay for. Quote
Peter Posted October 24, 2004 Report Posted October 24, 2004 Would have to concur with Mr Dwarf. Bypass the 'Look good goodies' and get some 'Go good goodies' Quote
99 Posted October 24, 2004 Report Posted October 24, 2004 Agree! There's no better feeling than flogging someone who thinks they're real fast when all they've got are things they think look good. Save your pennies and go the stiffer suspension / better brake pads! (better for motorkhanas too) Quote
