LittleRedSpirit Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 (edited) Just priced shipping on a solid gearbox mount for my car. Item is $50US, shipping is $63US. Why don't they just say "no, I wont ship internationally?" $63, and its no bigger than a spindle of CDs. Idiots. Anyone seen anything similar? Seems like it happens on every second item I query. I paid $16.95 Euro shipping on a boot badge. about the size of a school ruler. i shipped some personal gear back from europe the size of a shoebox, weighing around 2 kgs, that cost me $30 Euro. go figure, they all just grossly over-estimate and pocket the profits... camerondownunder88 Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 Most ebay sellers in Asia land do this item is $1 postage $40. I mean who would buy that. All the sellers want is the cheap add if it is under a certain price so to make up the difference they whack on some postage. I have had this a lot from fuel nozzles to a few turbines to books postage soem people put on items is crap. Cam Quote

JiP Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 Yeah, I've encountered that what some of you speak of from ebay. Item costed $50, Postage $50. Or Go to their personal website and pay $100 and get free postage. Quote
Jono Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 sellers on ebay don't have to pay ebay the fees on the postage costs only fees on the what the item sold for.... Quote
JiP Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 I've never sold on ebay. I'm just a passive buyer. Quote

Plenty of people...thats why they do it 8| No reason you couldn't leave negative feedback something along the lines of "Item was good but postage was ridiculous" etc Quote

I sell on ebay so feedback is everything. Edited November 9, 2007 by KE30_KE35_KE55 Quote
