Taz_Rx Posted November 6, 2007 Report Posted November 6, 2007 (edited) Sorry cam.Definently after the box if its not gona require me to hack the chasis of my ke20 as much as the K50 i have sitting in the garage. Putting a K-T50 in is going to more work not less..... Thats a K-T50 in the middle and K40 on the left. T50's are a much stronger gearbox yes, but also a bit bigger. Different clutch is also required, were as the K50 will go straight in with the clutch you have. :( Should I continue to bid on this one! just to find out who the school boys are!! Edited November 6, 2007 by Taz_Rx Quote
harun Posted November 7, 2007 Author Report Posted November 7, 2007 Fair enuff. Convinced it will be more work to put this box in, i shall not bid for it anymore. cheers boys enjoy the competition. Quote
Taz_Rx Posted November 7, 2007 Report Posted November 7, 2007 Other thing to consider is do you actually need the strength of this GB? An worked NA 4/5k will be fine with the K40/50, once you start talking about forced indcution K, some driveline upgrades are required (although still not essential). Also, do you realise the final price on this will probably be around $400-$450?? Quote
7shades Posted November 7, 2007 Report Posted November 7, 2007 And its on like donkey kong bitches... hehehehe *disclaimer* 7shades will not be bidding on this gearbox Quote
dookie Posted November 7, 2007 Report Posted November 7, 2007 Also, do you realise the final price on this will probably be around $400-$450?? lol, and a ad that says: "The condition of this box is unknown as i have never used it. i purchased in good faith and will sell with the same." Quote
Trev Posted November 7, 2007 Report Posted November 7, 2007 lol, and a ad that says: "The condition of this box is unknown as i have never used it. i purchased in good faith and will sell with the same." Even if the box aint the best you get a K-T bell housing to play with. Quote
dookie Posted November 7, 2007 Report Posted November 7, 2007 true, but if the bidding does get up that high, is a K-T bell housing worth that much? Quote
madrolla68 Posted November 7, 2007 Report Posted November 7, 2007 true, but if the bidding does get up that high, is a K-T bell housing worth that much? Not really!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
Trev Posted November 7, 2007 Report Posted November 7, 2007 Its been behind a K motor, As if it would be broken  Quote
madrolla68 Posted November 7, 2007 Report Posted November 7, 2007 Its been behind a K motor, As if it would be broken :( Itll be fine it hasn't been behind my K motor !!!!!!!! Quote
Xany Posted November 7, 2007 Report Posted November 7, 2007 Yes....K-T Bellhousing....who gives a shit if the box is f@$ked....get another for $50. I have exactly the same thing in the KE55.....never had a problem with it....its also a cable one. However i wish cameron had of offered this guy a sum of money like i did when i saw one on ebay....cause it basically cuts all ^^^^^^ that shit out. Bidding wars my arse, i didnt bid for shit... Quote
camerondownunder88 Posted November 7, 2007 Report Posted November 7, 2007 Xany if I had the money to offer I would of paid it to him off line. As I had it T-ed up for postage to QLD with him when he STRICTLY said no postage so meh SUCKS BEING A STUDENT.......and heheh he would of sold it to me cheap to Xany off line but again NO CASH FOOK..... Also who cares about condition I mean get it for the bell housing. Also I looked tonight the TE27 had the 2T motor in it so ALL/MOST KE20 cars have the holes in the floor to BOLT IN a T50/T40 gear box. SO there should be no cutting of your floor to fit this gear ox in the car. So harun you can still bid. BUT you must use the TA22 celica T series gear box as it is smaller etc and that was the one in the TE27 factory. So it will bolt into a KE20. But I am also over bidding for this box. So hope who ever wins it is happy  Cam Quote
harun Posted November 7, 2007 Author Report Posted November 7, 2007 well i don't know how i could live with myself if i paid 400 - 450 for bellhousing. Quote
