JiP Posted October 28, 2007 Report Posted October 28, 2007 I swear I didn't see this last year, but can't remember, did RollaClub's clocks change to Daylight Savings time?? I don't like it. Its out by an hour. Reminds me of my childhood and having to work out the time on pay TV cause they were too cheap to fix the timing/delay the footage. Quote
irokin Posted October 28, 2007 Report Posted October 28, 2007 Last year the server was in Brisbane. This year the servers in Sydney so it appears we've adopted daylight savings. I might look at reversing it if I can. Quote
sammo[RL] Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 Oh you crazy queenslanders, with your backward, out of date thinking on daylight saving! I urge you to rebel against your leaders, and join us, the great thinkers of the south, and be one hour ahead!!!!!!!!!! Quote
7shades Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 Um... we've actually already rebelled. Thats why we DON'T have daylight saving. We don't really need it bein' so close to the 'quator and all... Quote
irokin Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 If/when I change it back its very simple for the southerners to turn daylight savings on. Theres an option in your control panel :D http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?a...rCP&CODE=04 Quote
Xany Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 :D quote incoming.... "It fades the cows." I personally hated it when we had it.....meant i had to go to bed earlier.... :) Quote
Medicine_Man Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 If you actually lived in Queensland you would understand how pointless it actually is, May be fine for you mexicans but I will fight it to the death to to keep it out of our state.. Quote
Trev Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 Thanks to all you weird southerners not knowing day from night they have changed our foxtel times to suit you as thats where its broadcast, Thats just gay. Quote
sammo[RL] Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 oh dear what have i done...... Look i have nothing against QLD, i even went for the maroons in the state of origin! But i love daylight saving, i reckon we should have it all year round! Quote
7shades Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 ^^^^ hehehehe now thats genuinely funny.... um, I hope you were actually making a joke then Quote
towe001 Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 (edited) :D :) Yeah, just why would us aussies (edit - Opps, Queenslands) need daylight savings when it comes standard for us. :lolcry: maybe thats the reason why the mexicans move up here Its for the vitamin K Edited October 29, 2007 by towe001 Quote
irokin Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 I thought it was vitamin D? Anyway, the few QLDers who want this BS daylight savings can just find a flexible job and go to work an hour earlier. I know I could do that if I wanted to. I can't understand why Perth decided they need it. I was over there last year and the suns up till like 8pm anyway! As if you need any more sunlight than that... Quote
Beejae82 Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 lol the "earlier morning wakeups are killing me but i look forwards to the 8:30 sunsets Heres some interesting information about Vitamin K: Vitamin K (for blood coagulation) is found in leafy green vegetables such as spinach and lettuce; Brassica vegetables such as kale, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, and Brussels sprouts; wheat bran; organ meats; cereals; some fruits, such as avocado, kiwifruit and bananas; meats; cow milk and other dairy products; eggs; and other soy products. Two tablespoons of parsley contains 153% of the recommended daily amount of vitamin K maybe the extra sun in QLD allows green vegies produce a higher level of Vitamin K it will take a while to get used to the 1 hour jetlag Quote
JiP Posted October 30, 2007 Author Report Posted October 30, 2007 Personally, I too would hate it if we got Daylight Savings. Basicly no one in my family knows how to operate anything so I'd be left with changing about 17 clocks in and around the house. Then changing them back afterwards. Quote
