ToyoKE30Coupe Posted October 20, 2007 Report Posted October 20, 2007 I have owned a few Corollas and have visited this site over the last 18months. My first car was a Toyota Corolla Ke30 4door, the red-orange colour and was bought in early 2006 off my sister. Had a few mods done to it but its journey came to an end a week after i got my P’s. Yeah, the Macca’s hedge was not as welcoming as first thought, if i could have only spun 5 metres more so it was the driveway, but maybe not. Had a nice 3k in it that seemed absolutely unbreakable. fusion Posted October 20, 2007 Report Posted October 20, 2007 (edited) Adelaide hey? What Maccas is that haha . . . headges and KE30's don't mix to well . . . I found that out myself aswell :lolcry: What ride do you have now? Still got the red KE30? Edited October 20, 2007 by fusion Quote
ToyoKE30Coupe Posted October 20, 2007 Author Report Posted October 20, 2007 6 days later i bought my second Toyota Corolla Ke30, but this time a 2door, absolutely overrated in the nice yellow colour. I had this for three months, went through the simple list of mods and was complained about at numerous neighbourhood watch meetings. Had a 4k, but the car could be heard from more than 400metres away, and it was a sweet low-bassy baffle tone. It had my nice 17inch rims on it that in the end may and did cause its death in the end. A beautiful stereo system in it, new jvc deck, 6inch up front, 6x9 at the back, two subs in the boot through a mono block amp, had a few complaints about that as well (damn baby’s sleeping in floorboarded rooms a few blocks away. It wasn’t that loud up close, and the baby was sleeping. The finishing move was a 180 degree barrel roll outside The Flagstaff Hotel drive thru leaving no panel untouched. Good bye my 2door. Quote
ToyoKE30Coupe Posted October 20, 2007 Author Report Posted October 20, 2007 Almost a year later, start of October, my missus found a neat Toyota Corolla Ke30 4door, in yellow so it is a hybrid of what i have had already, 3rd time lucky people, cannot resist the Old Skool Rolla. I will slowly be modding this car as i have my last two, just taking a lot more care than i did in the past. I purchased the car for $800 from a young sheila fairly locally. She was asking more but it blows a lot of smoke and had no stereo and came with some nice bald tires, if you can call 155’s tires, they were so freaking thin, and it was raining. Paint is in good condition, peeling along the bonnet, but no rust in the usual places, quite a good find by the girlfriend i say. I'll have to find some pics of this one as i cannot find them on my USB at the moment. Comment my cars n ask me questions Quote
fusion Posted October 20, 2007 Report Posted October 20, 2007 (edited) You going to keep the wheels down to a 15" this time or go for the 17's again . . . almost like they're a curse hehe Thinking of repainting it? Edited October 20, 2007 by fusion Quote
ToyoKE30Coupe Posted October 20, 2007 Author Report Posted October 20, 2007 Yeah, in Adelaide. It was the Macca's on Cross Road and Goodwood Rd. First wet weather driving experience, EVER to that point. :lolcry: Quote
ToyoKE30Coupe Posted October 20, 2007 Author Report Posted October 20, 2007 The gutter rash on the 17's is pretty bad but would love to put them back on bcos they look so fine. It is due for a respray but comes down to funds, and what happens with my licence. Rego ran out yesterday so I'm not 100% for the cruise, check with my lawyers Quote

7shades Posted October 20, 2007 Report Posted October 20, 2007 See kids, this is why everyone should have a shitbox as their first car. And, maybe second and third in this fella's case... :lolcry: Quote
flat out Posted October 20, 2007 Report Posted October 20, 2007 done, can't wait to see the next one after looking at these Quote
Xany Posted October 21, 2007 Report Posted October 21, 2007 NEED MORE TALENT CAPTAIN!..... Try taking corners a little slower, rather than trying to drift each one......you might have a little more sucess in keeping your shitbox on the road for more than a couple of months. I mean no offence in the above statement.....i just hate seeing another KE30 2 door down the tube. cheers. Quote
Raven Posted October 21, 2007 Report Posted October 21, 2007 Tsk tsk. Sad to see such a rare car go to waste. Looks like that happened right near my g/f's place too. Just a little advice champ: corolla's werent meant for drifting, especially a KE30 (unless you build it up to drift which would stil be hard cos of the short wheelbase). :) Raven Quote
ToyoKE30Coupe Posted October 21, 2007 Author Report Posted October 21, 2007 hey guys, never tried to drift the rolla. i've watched far to many cars hit concrete barriers and trees and watever else i have managed to witness, to even want to try n get the car sidewards. i don't mind a bit of noise when taking of from the lights or just sitting in a cruise mode, never sidewards tho through effort. Yeah, maybe i was going a bit quick in the 2door but in no way was i meant to get the thing sidewards. i knew the value and i had many offers, and it is a shame. every crash these days are believed to be 'drifting crashes', why i ask?? i am a slow cruiser with some music going, that loves to get to the speed limit quickly, which is safe when the car doesnt swing sidewards when trying to accelerate hard. i kno its annoying when we lose another 2door!!!
