Dude, if its your first car, don't drive it. Spray the whole thing with wd40 and put it under a tarp in the shed for 5-8years. Then, once you've crashed a few cars you can get it out and NOT WRECK THAT CLASSIC overrated CONDITION CAR. Please just leave it unmolested and pretend you are over 65 if you do decide to drive it. Or sell it. 6 grand is spot on. More than it cost new probably.

if you have no garage to store it in, you should either find a relative that will let you store it or sell it to someone who can look after it properly.

I agree sell to someone who will look after it, that thing is to good someone please buy it! :lolcry:

Mate nice car.

If I was you id keep it. But it is up to you. Also don't under estimate a KE1X potential. I haven't got my KE15 sprinter on the road yet but have been in a spin in one that just had a mild 5K all it had was cam a Webber and extractors and mate it flew. Brand new commodores up to the 140 ish mark this KE15 can keep up to and just in front of off the lights not many 1969 cars can claim that. So if you keep it and mod it make sure you don't CUT,DRILL to much so it can be restored to former glory.

Cheers

Cameron

P.S. if you need part numbers for replacement parts from Toyota for this car I have the part number book for the 4dr KE10 sedan all few hundred pages so I can scan and email pages to help you out if you plan to restore this ride and keep it.

There is two other option you corolla guys havent thought of yet, if you can get back to japan they,ll pay a fortune but must be immac and original. another way is put it on international ebay or jap ebay, put a sky high reserve on it. you only need 1 person who wants it. and they will organise transport, i,m doing this with my publica at the moment. WHATEVER DON,T VANDALISE IT

I'm normally the first to say "make it go faster" but a classic like that that is in so good condition and by the looks of things original, you would be mad to do anything to it. If you have the patience of someone who is wiser beyond your years you will keep it, bring it out on sunny Sundays and put it in classic car shows when the mood takes you. Cars like that will always go up in value now. If you sell it it will probably be a collector who buys it, and remember there is no capital gains tax on cars.

thats my opinion anyway
