JiP Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 Sure does take off. You should have seen it outside my house yesterday :(
hosedogg Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 can't see how you could possibly call that slow. listen to the commentor he was shocked it could even spin the wheels :(
curly Posted November 4, 2009 Author Report Posted November 4, 2009 Thanks guys, it just feels more dramatic incar, to get it to take of like that i had to let the tyres down to 14psi, maybe a new set of MTs might help, its also a lot faster with the new turbo, haven't done the injectors yet but everything just seems to work more effortlessly. amazingly fast in 3rd around town
hosedogg Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 for those of you interested in doing a 3rz engine swap also. after lots of searching i finally found the weight of it. thought it would be best to put it in here. anyways turns out its about 179kg's for the engine with head and inlet manifold. http://www.customtacos.com/forum/showthread.php?t=77422

hosedogg Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 yeah the torque would easy make up for it :S i'm just thought i'd say it in here for other's that may like to know is all, and figured they'll be looking in your thread anyways to find out as much info as they can on it. anyways, how do you find it boost's with the gt3582r? still running 10psi? and when you have full boost by?

SLO-030 Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 It may have been asked before but how does it handle with the mountain of motor up front? I've heard the 3x/55 series handle better with a little more weight up front. CHEERS Ryan

CHEERS Ryan Wagons are heavier than sedans over the back wheels, it has gained a fair bit but its not all over the front. it all seems very civilised really, just got to be carefull when getting up it around a corner it can catch you out, a couple of young guys have been for a drive in it and i think theyre all surprised how normal everything is untill it gets a bit of boost
