LXY-642 Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 That's some massive torque man. Love it. So manualised auto is a good thing then? :jamie:
curly Posted July 27, 2010 Author Report Posted July 27, 2010 It made 385rw but didnt get logged, as i don't run a boost controller we went a bit safe for the final tune to allow for different fuels etc, i drove it home in the wet and it behaves a lot better than it did as manual
cuzzo Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 So I'm guessing this is engineered? Or is the capacity too large?
LXY-642 Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 Good to hear that it behaves itself better with the auto man. Would make life a bit easier. Makes me happy with my decision on going a manualised auto in my 36. Seeming as I'm chasing around the same power as you although with a different engine and most likely going to have less torque lol
SLW42 Posted July 28, 2010 Report Posted July 28, 2010 Thats an awsome amount of torque mate, i like the power figure too, i knew when you said that it was a torquey engine that it had more torque compared to power, but i didn't realise it has more than double the power amount, thats great so she's ready for jambo then??
Taz_Rx Posted July 28, 2010 Report Posted July 28, 2010 Hmmm, make an awesome tow car for your son's mazda!!! :jamie:
curly Posted July 28, 2010 Author Report Posted July 28, 2010 Hmmm, make an awesome tow car for your son's mazda!!! :jamie:  ha fn ha, I'm not even going to show him this comment
LXY-642 Posted July 29, 2010 Report Posted July 29, 2010 Lol. His Mazda would be quicker then the rolla wouldn't it?
Taz_Rx Posted July 29, 2010 Report Posted July 29, 2010 Rod's son's car is OOH808, assuming you would have seen in on ausrotary. Just Kidding Rod, I knew that would get a bite! :)
13BT_KE20 Posted July 29, 2010 Report Posted July 29, 2010 Awesome, must be time for some new pics/vids??? Cheers
curly Posted July 29, 2010 Author Report Posted July 29, 2010 Yes Dan (OOH808) is my son and theres constant rivalry, his mazda we built 10 years ago has 460 odd rw and has run a 10.3 so i have a bit to go
LXY-642 Posted July 29, 2010 Report Posted July 29, 2010 I can't find the thread :) good to hear a rotary built 10 years ago and still going strong at that power :)
sleepercorty Posted July 30, 2010 Report Posted July 30, 2010 glad to hear you worked out my wiring diagram, whens the valve body get done? it will make it much more fun to drive
LXY-642 Posted July 30, 2010 Report Posted July 30, 2010 I thought he already had the manual valve body fitted?
curly Posted July 30, 2010 Author Report Posted July 30, 2010 it shifts manually by activating the solenoids, the valve body from MV automatics gives a more solid shift, the slow change between gears is what kills them
