Our race team will hopefully be sending the 2 turbo cars to Bathurst next for the FOSC at Easter hopefully, sent off our EOI to see if we are accepted, as you can expect every IP racer in the country wants to run that track

Sounds like a plan.

They wouldn't have a website with up coming events and dates would they?

If there racing at Bathurst I'll be there for sure. I was talking to a bloke a couple of weeks age who races a mini with a Honda engine in it, but not sure what category he runs in, he reckons I should go to a few meets with them and check it out. I wouldn't mind doing a few track days myself

It makes about 350hp but plenty of torque, the engine is tuned for plenty of boost down low as the 36 mill restrictor starts killing the boost party at 6000rpm sadly.

The magnas are bloody quick for what they are, they do a 1.21 round lalla which is pretty good, as quick as a V8 Brute

I've heard that the restrictors become a big issue on 2L's at even reasonable rpm.

I spoke to some people about turbo-ing my 4A-GZE for IPRA, and apparently it would still be able to rev to about 7,000-7,500rpm with the restrictor with a well sized turbo (eg. T25 or a small T28).

Dead right there, the 2 litres struggle for air above 6000, a few guys in SA are toying with 1600-1800cc turbos as the rev range would be larger, slightly less torque and about the same HP. A 4AGZE turboed would be a good thing in IP

I was at one point looking at either 4A-GTE, or a 7A-GTE. As the rpm would be limited to about 7,500 by the air restrictor, the extra stroke of the 7A crank & rods wouldn't pose too much of a problem.
