13BT_KE20 Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 Yeah guys the brake lines run out of the master cylinder then into the firewall, through the inside of the firewall and pop out at bottom of the inner guards. Not sure about defects, but engineer i spoke to a few years ago said it will be okay. Its all these little things that take alot of time and money to do that contributes to a VERY clean looking engine bay Great work! Quote
StasIII Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 yeah i did the same thing.. you can't see my brake lines. Quote
KE04AG Posted July 25, 2009 Author Report Posted July 25, 2009 Thanks guys! Yeah the brake system was quite expensive but as you say time and money! I think it was worth it though. A shop called Specialised Brake and Clutch in Penrith supplied all the brake line fittings mate. Went to the trimmers today to see how he is progressing. I helped draw up the door panel designs and he trimmed them today. He has started on the floor, and the windows are in. Quote
HIGH ROLLER Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 moving quickly, awesome what made the brake system expensive? anything specifically? Quote
KE04AG Posted April 10, 2011 Author Report Posted April 10, 2011 Well beleive it or not after 9 years my car is finally finished! All engineered 100% street legal and registered. I've put 250kms on it in the 4 weeks its been done. We have a few little issues such as a leaking brake line in the car somewhere and a sticking throttle. The dizzy is also leaking oil so I think it needs an O-ring. But I'm very happy with how its going so far. Quote
jaygore Posted April 11, 2011 Report Posted April 11, 2011 WOW!!!!!!! This looks amazing!!!! Well done! Quote
HIGH ROLLER Posted April 11, 2011 Report Posted April 11, 2011 This car is the best ke20 on the scene...well done Jase, 9 years was well worth it. Looks even better in the flesh. Inspiration to get cracking on my car. Quote
KE04AG Posted May 5, 2011 Author Report Posted May 5, 2011 Picked the car up from mechanics today. We put new bushes in the rear, O-ring in the dizzy and greased up the front end. The accelerator is still sticking, thought we fixed it so will have to have another look at it. One of the brake fittings was a bit loose under the dash, but all fixed now. We put a bit more bias to the rear brakes and it stops on a dime now. Unfortunately when I got home I noticed coolant leaking from the water pump. I've entered the Street Machine nationals at Sydney Dragway next weekend so will attend to the water pump after that. On a positive note the car was photographed for Hot 4's magazine and should be in the August or September issue. Quote
SLO-030 Posted May 29, 2011 Report Posted May 29, 2011 Bloody Awesome man! Got to be one of the tidyest rollas around! Love it. Quote

KE04AG Posted May 31, 2011 Author Report Posted May 31, 2011 Thanks for the positive comments guys. I can't wait for the feature either lol! I've been told it will be in issue 210. The water pump is fixed so now can't wait to find out the next problem!! Quote
KE04AG Posted July 12, 2011 Author Report Posted July 12, 2011 Issue 210 of Hot 4s with the feature on my car is out now. It has a candy red WRX on the cover. I must say I am stoked with the feature. A nine year dream has come true for me! Not many things can compare to seeing your own car presented over six pages of a magazine. Quote
