KJ's Rollas Posted October 3, 2007 Report Posted October 3, 2007 Ok, here's all the pics I took on the day! Firstly of your KE20!! The Brown/Orange coloured KE20 that was there: There was a red KE35 hardtop there! The lady said she's had it since new!! Pics: Some random orange 2dr KE30 that was there! KE10 - was Auto, converted to Manual. Some old skool Corona's! That's about it from my collection! Anyone else with pics?? Bay to Birdwood was a great day out! I encourage you all to go and check it out or go in it 2 years time! KJ :) Quote
benzo Posted October 3, 2007 Author Report Posted October 3, 2007 Thanks man. Was the orange KE30 2 door yours?? Anyone know who owns that orange KE20? looked to be in fair condition, and happens to be what I am looking for as a project. Cheers, Ben. Quote
KJ's Rollas Posted October 3, 2007 Report Posted October 3, 2007 Nah sorry, I don't know who owns it. Didn't see the owners there anywhere when I was taking the photo's. It looked pretty shmick though! I was with my uncle in his Dark Olive Green Ford Mustang 1970, so no the orange KE30 wasn't mine. I have a KE55 which is too new for Bay to Birdwood! fusion Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 "The "Run" is for motor vehicles built prior to the 1st of January 1956, the "Classic" is for vehicles built after January 1st 1956 and more than thirty years old. In both events the vehicles must conform as closely as possible to the manufacturers' specifications, be in a presentable condition, and roadworthy." So its probably 1976, knowing me the maths isn't to good  Quote

So in 2009 for the next birdwood classic cars made before 1978 should be able to enter. In SA cars that have their 30th birthday can then also go on the historic registration scheme that allows 90 days of use throughout the year for a discounted rate, conditions Apply. Quote
KJ's Rollas Posted October 7, 2007 Report Posted October 7, 2007 yeah I've heard about that historic rego thing! Sounds good! Quote
