DR1FT Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 hey all. . the rolla wouldnt start 4 awhile so i took stater motor out and rewired it all back up, new plugs , new leads and new engine fuse. It still wouldnt work so we push started it and it worked fine. Turned it off and it started up straight away, so i took it 4 a spin around and it died it the middle of the road and now i have nothing no power anywhere not even my alarm. . WHATS HAPPENING?? 7shades Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 For fear of stating the bleedingly obvious, I will anyway... Have you checked the battery and terminals? If batteries are left without charge for too long (like a week is long enough) sulphides build up and they don't hold charge for longer than a few minutes. Quote

sammo[RL] Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 Check the fuseable links, Check the charge wire from the alternator. I'd be checking/replacing all the wires and plugs, from and to the alternator, battery, fuse box. Quote
KE30_KE35_KE55 Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 If you have acses to a multimeter check the battery voltage with the engine runing at the battery. it should be between 13.8 and 14.2 volts. next check the voltage at the alternator output post {positive red} and the negative terminal on the back alternator housing {black} if the readings are Different You have bad connections somewhere. pm me for more help.
