Hey guys.

 

lurking around these forums for a while and i thought id post up a pic of the car i jsut bought.

 

bought it last saturday with RWC and rego.

 

exactly a week later (would of been in the hour) of driving it out of the driveway from where i bought it... well you can see what happened.

 

i was stationary. was stopped for about 5 seconds waiting in a line of traffic. suddenly a big bang. the lady behind me didnt see me at all (sun in eyes) and didnt even get the chance to touch the brakes.

is it repairable or written off?

Not fixable as the roof is bent..

 

i had a mate in the front passenger seat. and another mate in the back sitting in the middle (i had the 2 side seatbelts out to make a new parcel shelf)

 

cd player wasnt bolted in and flew out towards my friend.. luckily the wiring stopped it.

 

The lady in the car that hit me had her baby in the car. luckily it wasnt hurt. she also had no insurance

i havent had a look underneath yet as its at my dads house now. the towbar from the car in front ripped through the bottom radiator support.

thats sad :P :no2: a nice ke30 rammed like that. maybe you could look for another good body and swap every thing over.

I cringed! Having a KE30 myself . . . . thats just painful to look at . . .

damn a twist in the shell. damn. but yeah. find a nice shell and rip all the nice stuff outta the beat up one into the new one. =] always a good idea. I'm lucky that my accident wasnt a write off or i woulda cried. haha.

forgot to mention it had a 4k with a re-ground camshaft. i can't remember the profile but it came with the ticket/reciept thing in the glove box.

 

actaully i have my eyes on a overrated condition one with 97xxx km on it and the interior look like new. prob pick it up for $250. but its a matter of really checking over it.. from memory it was nearly rust free.. the only bit of rust being in the fire-wall :P ... some how..

Front view doesnt look too bad.

its a real shame! looked like a nice car...but apart from the rust in the firewall :P .....that one ur looking at seems pretty damn good for $250 if its as good as u say it is!

Yeah its orange. looked really nice. then i popped the bonnet and found a bit or rust in the firewall....

 

mine was pretty much rust free.. it had all been taken care of by the previous owner

Picking up a 1985 Corolla Seca auto on thursday hopefully. as a payout becasue they had no insurance.

 

probably get a rwc and sell it and get back into the RWD Corolla owners club :P
