benzo Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 (edited) Over the last two weeks my KE20 has gone under a transformation, becoming the nanna spec ride I've always wanted. I bought it just over 3 months ago these were the basic specs when I first got it. Vehicle: 1974 Ke20 Corolla 2 door sedan Engine: 4KC 1.3 litre Mods: full rebuild 5 years ago (specs unknown), all i know it does have a mild cam and goes pretty hard for a 4K, 3 month old head ported and polished, 32/36 DGV Weber, Redline air filter, 4-2-1 extractors, 2 inch exhaust. Driveline: 5 speed, heavy duty clutch, 4.3:1 locker. Brakes: Standard. Suspension: short stroke front shocks, heavy duty Pedders front springs, reset leaves. Wheels: 12x5 Globe rims, 165/75 tyres. Exterior: White paint, most original (great condition), some resprayed, minor rust in lhs front guard cut out and replaced with new metal, no other rust other than small 20c piece sized bubble behind lhs rear wheel. Interior: original rear seat no rips, absolute overrated condition, modified Hyundai Excel front seats, reshaped and retrimmed to match, custom black vinyl centre console, monza gear knob, 3 inch tacho on steering column, Pioneer mp3 player, Pioneer 6 inch splits, Pioneer 6x9s. Now all plastic (grille, under grille trim, front corners, bonnet trim, scoops, and taillight surrounds) painted black, black 12x4 inch stockies in 155/80R12 Bridgestone B80 tyres with 1/2" whitewalls, centre console removed, cd player relocated to glovebox, picnic rug in boot ( :P ), standard 3k carby with overrated air filter, new 2 inch exhaust with single offset flow muffler, 3 inch rear pipe and 3 inch chrome droopy tip, and last but not least gave it all a good clean, polish, tyreshine, pressure washed all engine bay and undercarriage. Nanna/pimp spec nearly complete now, get ivory ventians early next week, back will be lowered another 2 inches next week, lawn bowls sticker. Then hopefully after Bay to Birdwood the dent in the rhs front guard is getting repaired along with the rust bubble behind the rear wheel, and a few other small dents removed. Will have a few update pics to go up tomorrow. So heres what mine looked like less than 1 and a half weeks ago. Edited August 29, 2008 by benzo Quote

benzo Posted September 24, 2007 Author Report Posted September 24, 2007 (edited) I got bored today so decided to drive around the hood yo and take some photos. Next week will have ivory venetians and the back will be dumped 2 inches And its now got the 3K carby, hopefully next year she'll be off the road, and getting the rotor set up (13B bridgeport). but don't worry she'll be stayin like this, visually. Keepin Lawn Bowls popular, Ben. Edited August 29, 2008 by benzo Quote
benzo Posted September 27, 2007 Author Report Posted September 27, 2007 Well the stickers are now off the rear window (except the rollaclub one of course), venetians should be here by Monday hopefully and the back will be slammed another 2 inches hopefully next Wednesday. I'm now looking for a few parts just to finish off the looks: -standard 3k air filter and box (for the 3k carby) -RAA grille badge -original front seats -original gear boot -minta door trims the same colour as my interior (mine have few small tears about 10mm long on the undersides) -AutoMeter 5 inch tacho and shift light (to be mounted under the dash to replace the poxy steering column mounted one) -minta steering coloumn plastic trim Then I'm also on the lookout for parts for the rotor conversion such as crossmembers, etc. Thanks, Ben Quote
TOM Posted September 27, 2007 Report Posted September 27, 2007 My hat goes off to you sir, tis a beautiful thing!! Looks awesomely better with the whitewalls man, top work! Look forward to seeing it round Radelaide soon man Tom Quote
benzo Posted September 27, 2007 Author Report Posted September 27, 2007 Thanks mate, still got a bit of work to do till I'm completely happy with it. Then I still won't be happy till the rotor is in it and running. Damn cars haha Heres another pic, one of my favourites. Quote
Teddy Posted September 27, 2007 Report Posted September 27, 2007 Very nice :) Would recomend finding a Te27 dash, to get the tacho in the middle. Yup, they are rare as hell, but oh dear god, anything but the monster tacho hahah! Granny Spec FTW Quote
benzo Posted November 27, 2007 Author Report Posted November 27, 2007 Well its been a while but I thought I may as well chuck up some newer pics. These are my favourite pics, as the rear was lowered another 2 inches at the time, but I got sick of the dragging my arse around when I had people in the back (as it was then lowered another 2 inches). She looked sweet but got too many looks from the popo when I had passengers in the back. Anyway heres the pics, still waiting for my lawn bowls sticker from Daniel (Maztrix) but apart from that I'm pretty much done with her. Won't be doing the rotary conversion anymore as I would like something a bit more modern, luxurious, refined, and user friendly. So she'll be up for sale in a few weeks, when I get my R32 Skyline or FC3S RX7. Cheers, Ben. Quote
