Rola Drifter Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 Hey all, just trying to organise some rear shocks for my ae71 4age sedan & wondering if any one would be able to tell us which model suzuki sierra front shocks to ask for while ordering?? Also wondering, i know the strut insert diameter for the ae86's are 51mm & ke70's are 43mm and the ae71's are the same as ke70's aren't they??? cheers tom Quote
love ke70 Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 (edited) they sierra shocks are f@$king short. like, reallly short, i think too short. unless the guy whos car i was playing with was running the wrong ones. but he had chopped falcon springs, and the car sat with the wheel just on the height of the wheel arch and the shock was giving about 3mm travel considered getting decent springs and shocks? koni make a nice adjustable.... Rola Drifter Posted September 20, 2007 Author Report Posted September 20, 2007 yeah i know they are short, my mate has chopped kingy's in his ke70 with the sierra shocks but i am unable to get a hold of him for a bit to ask him which one's i need to order....my main concern is still the front shocks that i would like to put a shorter stroke option in without changing struts to ae86 struts as i've already had enough fun putting the cressida control arms and stuff in so the less stuffing around the better hopefully. cheers Quote
beerhead Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 Rear commodore wagon shocks are a much more sensible length. Quote

doityourself Posted September 27, 2007 Report Posted September 27, 2007 If the KE70 strut is the same size as KE30/55 you can use N10 Pulsar shocks, they are the same design as the KE30 ones but have 3 inches shorter stroke, a small spacer will be needed on the bottom of the shock to bring the shock up in the strut. For memory you will need a 40mm spacer. Quote

KE70, AE71 sedans /wagons have a 43? mm strut OD AE86 and AE71 panel vans have the 51mm OD strut. not sure about KE70 vans Quote
