ancullen Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 sik sounds good, hmm will a aw11 clutch suit rwd setup I think an AW11 clutch is okay. I think it's only the AE92 onwards that has the bigger clutch that won't fit the T50.
Pure-SX Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 the motorkhana was a little disappointing I was the only rolla and orange gem was the only gemini. and neither of us competed I was however the first one there and the bloke let me have a few runs for free, all I can say is I will compete as soon as i get a set of ginnies :D
wasfishing Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 if so thats awsome $900 brand new sports clutch for the drifter, um chattin to some people today and apparently an au falcon aircon pulley will bolt on the supercharger for more boost, gonna check it out. will be at the next kana :D but prob wont be competin :fuzz:
ancullen Posted March 26, 2007 Report Posted March 26, 2007 Yeah, I've heard something about a Falcon aircon pulley working, and as it's got a clutch built inside it, it will not reduce the life of the supercharger as much. I'm pretty sure I heard it was an earlier model Falcon pulley though. You may want to find out if there's a difference between models. You might get lucky and one will have a smaller diameter again, giving even more boost! Stephen - good that someone from RollaClub actually showed up. I had to work, but otherwise I would have been there. Luckily it was my last weekend of work. WOO-HOO!!! :D :fuzz:  I'm now hoping to change my roster with Coles (I'll still be there part-time, with a full time job at CDU) so I get Friday nights off too.
wasfishing Posted March 26, 2007 Report Posted March 26, 2007 Nice work adam :D Talkin to the mod on toymods and its au falcon pulley, chattin to one bloke that has one and hes gunna swap me for some mr2 parts :fuzz:  :) Recons it will make like 15psi  Also settin up my water spray on my intercooler thanks to my parts car and skwirter bottle and motor.
Pure-SX Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 guys, which would be better in , if i have the room for high mounting should I high mount as apposed to low mounting the turbo will there be any difference in performance cheers P.S anyone going street meet this friday?
wasfishing Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 Yea i will be at drags as for turbo as far as i know high mounts are better because they stay cooler and there for alow cooler air to be forced in and provide better performance :D But thats just what ive heard :fuzz:
ancullen Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 I've never really tried to find that out about turbo's, but have always wondered. BTW, Honda S2000's f@$kING ROCK!!! I want one, but I also want to make a Corolla that goes like one. My acceleration is NOWHERE near as fast as those things!!! Now I just want to work my 4A-GZE until it makes my Corolla accelerate like that - whilst still using a supercharger. I'm thinking high compression, increased boost, and LONG duration cams. 9,000rpm rocks.
Pure-SX Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 I can take you to 8000 or there abouts  so shane is only one coming friday?
Pure-SX Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 (edited) lol me and shane should coem terrorise you at coles lol since its ur last day or wateva  Edited March 28, 2007 by Pure-SX
wasfishing Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 WWWWWOOOOOOOOHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY MMOOOORRRREEEEE BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSTTTTT FOR MMMMEEEE Pulley15psi ish and 3 rid supercharger belt for the cost of maybe $10 as far as I'm conserned I'm GONNA OWN ALL. hahaha laugh at adam slow corolla hehehehe.
ancullen Posted March 29, 2007 Report Posted March 29, 2007 I'll just do the ABV mod and beat you straight up. Less weight = better acceleration. Also, you definitely won't beat me when I've completed my super-evil plans for the 4A-GZE. 276-degree 9.4mm lift intake cam (or longer duration, higher lift if I can find one) 280-degree 9.9mm lift exhaust cam (or longer duration, higher lift if I can find one) 20v quad throttles (with bigport adaptor plate) 7M-GTE 440cc injectors (should be enough, but I'll get 550cc RX7 ones if they're not) TRD 0.5mm metal head gasket (should take compression to about 9.5-10.0:1) Custom intake piping and plenum with FMIC Big valves Performance valve springs Shim under bucket, or preferably single piece shim & bucket conversion Redline reset to 9,000rpm ABV mod - should see boost of about 15psi. I'm aiming to go from my current 87rwkw to about 140-150rwkw.
wasfishing Posted March 29, 2007 Report Posted March 29, 2007 Adam i think the Abv mod wont giv u 15psi from a stock pulley, I see your 87kw and raise you my 95kw. Mwhahahaha. Um yea i wana do cams n spit but i know nothin about them, would like quads to. mmmmm. Lookin for water to air cooler whos got one???
Pure-SX Posted March 29, 2007 Report Posted March 29, 2007 good luck finding a W2A intercooler they cost 1k+ brand new. also anyone free on weekend to help me wire tacho in, my current is a bit iffy atm and scored a kewl looking one cheap
