Ella Posted October 4, 2006 Author Report Posted October 4, 2006 hehe good thing i bookmarked that site.
ancullen Posted October 5, 2006 Report Posted October 5, 2006 Yes, well, we'll leave that one all alone now. It would be good to see a nicely tuned AE95, as not many people have tried it, and there aren't that many getting around. I know that there is at least one in Darwin. It's green, and it's an auto. Bridge Toyota Palmerston had it sitting in their workshop for about three-four months while I was working there, and I think it was still there when I left. Probably well and truly gone by now though.
Killswitch Posted October 5, 2006 Report Posted October 5, 2006 (edited) Speaking of slightly rarer cars... I want this! fake edit: just noticed that its for sale for that price landed locally... feck, that's not a bad buy. Just add rego! Edited October 5, 2006 by Killswitch

zmit Posted October 5, 2006 Report Posted October 5, 2006 (edited) yeah... nobody say anything about DAVENS PLAN TO BUY A FX-GT AND DO A 4WD 4AGTE CONVERSION TO IT! :n: that quiet enough? lol ive got a service manual for it if that helps :2thumbs: actually ive got the service manual for all toyotas from 1983 to 2003 :D edit: hehe. oops. 4agte not 3agte Edited October 5, 2006 by zmit
ancullen Posted October 6, 2006 Report Posted October 6, 2006 A proper FX-GT would be awesome! If anyone bags you for having a Corolla you can let them know what an excellent win history it's got in the Australian Touring Car Championship and at Bathurst.
ancullen Posted October 6, 2006 Report Posted October 6, 2006 As for me, I'm very much liking the idea of this[/i]. That or one of the first three from here. Track use only, but that's not a problem. I just need to get a CAMS level three licence - and the funds to make such a purchase. Might happen in about ten years.
Ella Posted October 6, 2006 Author Report Posted October 6, 2006 anyone feel like helping me put my gearbox in on sunday? Going to be working in my new storage shed/workshop. I might not be on here much before then so sms if you want to come down... Ill have a Tv so i dun miss bathurst too lol.
ancullen Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 Would love to help, but I have to work today and tomorrow. I've worked on Bathurst weekend for at least the last three years. :2thumbs:
Ella Posted October 7, 2006 Author Report Posted October 7, 2006 (edited) Wow sucks to be you working during bathurst! Can anyone think of a way to get a car with no rear end in it onto a car trailer? Besides the obvious get a winch and skull drag the bastard lol... Ive scored a AE82 with some bits in it i want for nothing and need to get it down to the shed to strip out... It has a 4AGE in it too, but some pricks taken the head :2thumbs: Edited October 7, 2006 by Ella
ancullen Posted October 8, 2006 Report Posted October 8, 2006 If you can get access to a forklift or digger or something with a strong enough lifting arm, you could lift it up onto the trailer. That's the only other option I can think of, as that's what we'll be doing with my spare Corollas once I removed the diff & axle housing.
Ella Posted October 8, 2006 Author Report Posted October 8, 2006 Ill keep that in mind dude thats a good idea, one of my mates suggested using torlley jacks on the corner that it has no suspensoin and pushing it onto the trailer, probably try that first, much cheaper than hiring a fork
ancullen Posted October 8, 2006 Report Posted October 8, 2006 Yeah, that could work too. Although I wouldn't envy you trying to push/pull the car up the ramps onto the trailer. Hope you've got a winch, as that'd make the job much, much easier.
