Killswitch Posted September 3, 2007 Report Posted September 3, 2007 Well... I'll consider it. if I find another car to drive then probably will... but I kind of wanna keep the car to rally myself lol

Pure-SX Posted September 3, 2007 Report Posted September 3, 2007 Honestly guys, I am at the point where I have spent more on the car than I bought it for. I have a front lip/side skirts for the rolla. At this point in time I can either put them on get a full respray as the car is getting a little rough in a few areas and continue to spend money on the car OR sell it as is -stereo.
Killswitch Posted September 3, 2007 Report Posted September 3, 2007 Well... what do you want from a car Steven? f@$k respraying it though either way. and shhh shane  I might just buy your motor off you if you wanna sell it, kinda want to hold onto the rolal though... for now anywho.
ancullen Posted September 3, 2007 Report Posted September 3, 2007 i still think my swapskis idea would be ace Swapping the AW11 for the ZZE122? I thought that was my idea? Regardless, I think it's a cool idea too, but not until I get a shed. steve I'm gettin st185 gt4 celica front discs and calipers so i can stop at then end of the track btw wen is the next meet? Oh shit, you didn't??? The ST185 came with single piston front and rear calipers! They're better than the ST165 twin piston front calipers, but they're still only single pistons.

You are never going to make the money back you've spent on it. Any more money you spend on it will be just pissing money away. It is a fact we all have to deal with in car ownership. Unless you're spending money on restoring a Phase III GTHO, consider the money as lost.
gemzu Posted September 3, 2007 Report Posted September 3, 2007 16th motorkhana 28th street meet 30th lap sprints :P I should have my new rims by then - woot old tyres for Motorkhana and drags and lap sprints
Pure-SX Posted September 3, 2007 Report Posted September 3, 2007 sif v8's are the gay, lol trust me I know that cars = never profit rofl. Fact is I need to make a decision asap lol. So hard, my 1st car in a sense  What I want from a car? Reliable(toyota) Reasonably quick, handle well. Good all rounder, drags/circuit/motorkhana Just trying to get a few ideas, i would prefer a toyota. Looking at spending around 7.5 to 15
ancullen Posted September 3, 2007 Report Posted September 3, 2007 Before you commit to buying a car for drags/circuit/motorkhana, why don't you compete in those events in your current car. You need to learn it's handling characteristics so you can learn what handling characteristics you want from your next car. As demonstrated at the Supercars this year, it is possible to have a VERY quick AE82. Remember, a 4A-GTE could make at least as much power as that 3S-GE was making, and the rest is down to handling (and driving obviously). You could commit to building the AE82 into a super quick little beastie, or after actually driving it against the clock, could discover what you want from a car, eg. grip, oversteer, understeer, etc.
Pure-SX Posted September 3, 2007 Report Posted September 3, 2007 I swear Adam you are like a taller whiter yoda . Cheers man I know where your coming from. I do love my current car . I might just keep it and turn it into a little monster.
ancullen Posted September 3, 2007 Report Posted September 3, 2007 I remember seeing The Fast & the Furious at the cinema when it was first released. I still had my 1984 Honda Accord sedan with it's little 1839cc four cylinder making 77kW. I straight away wanted to drop an NSX 3.0/3.2L or Honda Legend 3.5L V6 into it. It would have been SWEET!!! Unfortunately two weeks after using it in my first Rejex Rally (in 2001), someone ran into the back of it, writing it off. I did see it driving around a year or two later, but I wouldn't have wanted it - the chassis was bent.
ancullen Posted September 3, 2007 Report Posted September 3, 2007 Of course, I would still like to get an Accord from the same series one day, but probably a three door, and put a V6 in as planned. I'd probably go with the Legend C35A 3.5L V6 with 230hp (NSX 290hp C32B's would be just too expensive). Or a J35A from the new Legend with 300hp.
