Nice radiator...is that from Nath (JAR)?

i just ordered one from him...they look the business!

let us know how it goes.

Cheers,

Mark

yeah, it's a JAR radiator. it'll be going in when it comes off the road for it's gear upgrade...when that will be i'm not sure, as i'm just waiting for some more stuff to come in before i have it all shipped.

widthwise is all good, just the dust covers for the reclining mechanism needs to be modified a bit to not interfere with the ke20 rails sliding lever.

i'll chop the passenger one first and put it on over the weekend while i'm playing around with shitaxe and the partners xx coupe. i think it's time to do the dash swap i promised 10 months ago HAHA

i want to see them without headrests too..

tombstone style.

they would look cool, but aren't safe if you're in an accident. bummer.

funny you should say that.... i went to raise the headrest on wednesday night while i was driving, and pulled it out by accident, so i just threw it on the floor and haven't put it back yet :P it does look awesome, but yeah, won't be neck-friendly in an acco :P

The seats look like they are a good option.

I might look into putting a set in mine, I will just cover them with some lambswool or

other suitable covers.

Just to clarify,

It took no buggering around with modifying bits, and they bolted straight up to the Ke20

rails, right ?

the seats are in very good condition, there's one ciggy hole on one of the seats, but otherwise they just need a vacuum to get the crud off them.

ke20 rails have the same bolt spacing to mount the rails to the ke70 seats. ke30 rails will not bolt to the ke70 seats.

you will need to remove the plastic dust cover from the reclining mechanism, as it interferes with the ke20 slider lever, as mentioned before.

the seats make you sit up a bit higher than stock ke20 seats, but as i'm not really tall, i've still got plenty of headroom. if i put the backs upright, i just hit the roof. but who drives bolt upright anyway :P

Thanks Tate, good to know.

I was concerned about the modifying of rails etc because I hear some roady joints

are tight on this. Now I know it is not a problem for swapping a set into a Ke20, I will put a set in with covers on

and hopefully it should all be ok.

big no update time....and this is just gonna be filler also, no pics (don't have time to organise them)

new (2nd hand ones from a parts car) rear shocks have gone in and well as some koni red's in the front with pedders low springs. front sits at the same height it was, rear sits about 1" higher.

2nd sounds kinda like i've got a dogbox, so will be pulling it out and swapping it for a ke70 5spd this weekend. it's already up on stands with the top two bolts removed from the gearbox.

here's hoping i can get it all done in a day (by myself again as everyone disappears for the weekend)

weekend was a success  got the old box out, swapped what i needed to, and put it back in again between the hours of 9 and 4 on saturday.

managed to find someone to help, now i just gotta help him take out and put in his vn gearbox (soooo not gonna be fun)

didn't remember to get a seal for the rear of the box, so will be getting that sometime to go with the pile of parts i've set aside/ordered. i'm not worried about it leaking oil, nor about the exhaust leak it had/still has. i found it is leaking between the two centre exhaust ports. no chance of fixing it besides the dodgy "double-gasket" job. it will be coming off the road by the end of the month for its upgrade anyway.

Xtreme HD clutch kit

Alloy radiator (should be going in this time)

Pacemaker extractors

Twin 40mm Dellorto's (whenever i get down to Franga again to pick them and the extractors up)

no pics of anything really (too bloody lazy to upload them)

tailshaft is off atm getting new uni's put in by a professional....as opposed to my dodgy install that had thefront one binding a bit, which is why my gearbox has been leaking.

i have new output seal to go in as well when i put the tailshaft back in (in about 1 hr)

will be going for a quick shakedown lap then off to pick up some new parts and go shopping for a washing machine (ours broke on wednesday night :hmm:

**

well wasn't yesterday fun. NOT

my tailshaft is well and truely rooted. so out of balance with bits missing that i've no choice but to find another.

of course, it didn't stop me driving ~150km yesterday.

i can't see it going anywhere again until i get back from OS and have some $ to spend on the twins upgrade :P

not happy, but not much else i can do

IDIOT. :)

You've obviously never seen just how much damage a tail shaft can do!?

Think twice before admitting to stuff like that on a public forum. :)

correct cuzzo :)

taz, i'd admit to being a dickhead, but i'd never seriously endanger myself intentionally (by doing excessive speeds with dodgy parts)

i know driving with a rooted t/s is bad, but it couldn't be helped on the weekend. washing machine comes before car.

i don't think i went above 105km/h during my travels.
