Des Posted September 3, 2007 Report Posted September 3, 2007 Can anyone give me advice on a engine conversion? at the moment i have a 4afe motor in me rolla and want it out!! just wandering what type of motor would be good for my rolla. It is a Ae 101 97 sedan 20v 4age. Variable valve timing, 5 valves per cylinder, Quad throttle bodies and twin cam. what more could ya want. Since your car is 1997 that rules out any 16v 4age and early model 4agze engine's. Quote

bduffman Posted October 27, 2008 Report Posted October 27, 2008 thought the ae101 and ae102 are the same and they start from 1994 to 1997 with the 4afe and 7age most people put the silver top or black top in supra engine throws the weight out to much and alot of work to change suspention rates I'm looking for a better upgrade then the o so comman 4age but if you were ever going to go one pick the 4agze Quote
irokin Posted October 27, 2008 Report Posted October 27, 2008 A supra engine (1G, 1JZ, 2JZ) in a AE101....? sorry but LOL. Quote

parrot Posted November 14, 2008 Report Posted November 14, 2008 The only sensible idea is to put whatever came out in that body shape overseas. I imagine that means a silvertop or possibly? a 4AGZE. And once you have researched that, whatever you do, make sure you buy a complete front cut and transfer EVERYTHING over, all mechanicals, all electrics, suspension, brakes everything. You will regret it otherwise. Quote
