irokin Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 sounds like youve got a blocked core. I had similar problems. Theres a place in the valley that does flushing, reconditioning and recoring. I got mine reconditioned and it cost something like $110. Worked great after that. Quote
Redwarf Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 Punctuation is your friend. Comma's can be used to break up sentences, and make them much more reader friendly. Anyway, how old is your thermostat? Is it working correctly? Otherwise, take it to a radiator shop, and get them to do a check of the system, mainly sitting it there with a thermometer in the radiator, making sure that the thermostat operates as it should. You can also simulate this with a pot of boiling water at home. However, at the mechanics/ radiator place you can see how your guage reads in relation to the real temperature. If it's too far out, you may need another temp sender, or a new guage. Cheers R Quote
Medicine_Man Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 My KE70 guage can run from the quarter way mark, to the half way mark during a normal days driving, just depends on its mood, i figure as long as it sits in one place and doesn't go up and up and up its all good :) Quote
Felix Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 it's not running a bit lean now with the new exhaust system? also i've found too much timing advance can make your car run hot. Quote
