philbey Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 let me guess - ripped a nice hole in the diaphragm? Quote
old corolla bloke Posted August 29, 2007 Report Posted August 29, 2007 let me guess - ripped a nice hole in the diaphragm? how does your cam look? did it bend the arm of the pump? cheers bm Quote
DearmanKE Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 my fuel pumps kept shitting themselves, and i found out it was because of fuel pressure building up in the tank, i had to cut a small hole in the rubber seal around my fuel cap to stop it happening, but now i get fuel spilling out on sharp right handers, so why does this happen, does anyone elses build up pressure? and if so, does it make ther fuel pump spew fuel out the breather hole? Des Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 Unblock the breather line to the charcoal canister or get the right fuel cap. Quote
DearmanKE Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 where is this said breather line and charcoal canister? its the cap off a ke55 so its exactly the same, Quote
Des Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 where is this said breather line and charcoal canister?its the cap off a ke55 so its exactly the same, There is 3 lines. Feed Return And one that goes to the charcoal canister up the front, don't know if Ke55's have one but most cars do. Quote

Yes the 55 has a charcoal canister, it's connected to the bracket which holds down the battery Quote
sammo[RL] Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 And the canaster has 3 lines on it, one to the carb, one from the tank, and the other goes straight down as a breather, thru a little hole on the chassis rail Quote
