Redwarf Posted August 25, 2007 Report Posted August 25, 2007 Ring a Queensland Transort approved engineer. That's the ONLY way you're going to get a real answer. Quote
Jono Posted August 25, 2007 Report Posted August 25, 2007 i know a guy with a 13bt in a ke20, he had it done before they changed the rules, many, many years ago. Quote
LittleRedSpirit Posted August 26, 2007 Report Posted August 26, 2007 Most people I've spoken to believe that in QLD enough money will get anything on the road. That said, I know a few people with professionally engineered cars that still get defect notices so go figure. Quote
beerhead Posted August 26, 2007 Report Posted August 26, 2007 A few months ago, with enough money and the right engineer it could have been possible. Under the changes there's heavier restrictions for vehicles under 1 tonne, which makes these kind of swaps illegal from what I've been told. Quote
ke13bt Posted August 26, 2007 Author Report Posted August 26, 2007 that does suck the proverbial left nut. any body had any such sucsess? i can get the blue card (mod plate) but thats kinda dodge. would like to do it properlly Quote
21_bjf Posted September 11, 2007 Report Posted September 11, 2007 short answer is no. i work in a large rotary specific workshop here in brisbane, and this was the road that i was hoping to go down, but unfortunately the department of transport seem to be the fun police when it comes to fitting anything rotaty powered into something that weighs under 775kg from the factory. That is why i have made the decision to go to a sr20det into mine. will keep anyone whos interested posted as the conversion unfolds Quote
