decoop Posted August 22, 2007 Report Posted August 22, 2007 I was changing the brake pads on the 30 today and broke a locating wire inside the caliper, so off to the wreckers i go. the guy said ther was a ke30 out in the yard so off i went. Went to get the part i needed....DIFFERENT!. I know this is very ignorant of me as i can recall reading several threads on how they were different but i simply never took any notice. Now, as i have a ke10 that needs disc brakes i will put the ke30 ones on it, but are the 55 ones a direct bolt in affair for a ke30?. they look like they are, the only thing that may be different is the brake hoses. Any help would be appreciated. (p.s. sorry to ramble on :P ) Quote
Clapped out Posted August 22, 2007 Report Posted August 22, 2007 hey there fella, ke55 callipers have the same bolt pattern as the ke30's, also use the same hoses as well. cheers phatke30! Quote
coln72 Posted August 22, 2007 Report Posted August 22, 2007 you will still need the ke55 "backing plate" though Quote
decoop Posted August 22, 2007 Author Report Posted August 22, 2007 Will i need to change master cylinders? Quote
Clapped out Posted August 23, 2007 Report Posted August 23, 2007 (edited) You don't have to, mine work fine on my ke30 with the ke55 calipers, up to you though, coln72, you just use the ke30 backing plate, bolt pattern and offset for the calliper is the exact same as the ke55, cheers phatke30!
