Budowski Posted December 17, 2008 Report Posted December 17, 2008 how are they remodelling them? arnt they all straight and square corners? your close, they are taking perfectly harmless concrete and grass and ripping up centre strips and replacing it with somthing more modern looking, but at the end of the day its a dividing strip and has only caused problems for traffic and for some reason it takes 6 months to lay pavers in a 3m wide by 20m sections all of 10 strips. All the money spent on useless projects in adelaide could have built somthing more useable such as a 6 lane hi rise super highway that runs from the southern suburbs to the northern suburbs. Call me a dreamer but no little road upgrade here and there is going to support the growth of adelaide into the future. more beer required :) Quote
love ke70 Posted December 17, 2008 Report Posted December 17, 2008 radelaide isnt growing, people are leaving in droves :) but don't worry, its the same everywhere. the logan motorway upgrade up here is what got me, the motorway is always congested as darn, so they spent 4 months resurfacing 2 lanes, not making it wider, even though theres plenty of room, no no, they replace guardrails and nature and put down nice looking pebbles, and resurface and new lights and all this and all that, and you think to yourself, that money could have been spent doing something that will make it work better you idiots. but ahh, who are we to throw logic on their wonderful plans :y: Quote
JiP Posted December 17, 2008 Report Posted December 17, 2008 I know what your talking about. Have you driven on the other side of the motorway?? The Mt Lindsay Hwy to Ipswich Mwy stretch?? Its bumpy as and hasn't been resurfaced in years yet every year the resurface the Gold Coast end. It doesn't need it. And don't get me started on the Gateway interchange, it goes from two lanes to one then to two. The traffic there is absolute garbage. Luckily there is a shoulder for me to cruise up every morning to get to the Gateway onramp. Quote

And the problem is the tolls, make it all etoll and the traffic will flow. And have you ever found the Western Freeway funny?? One of the main highways to the city that has a round'a'bout at each end. Quote
towe001 Posted December 17, 2008 Report Posted December 17, 2008 The driver had ample room and countless times to pull over to the side of the road....even after 3mins behind this car i was quite annoyed how someone could be so ignorant of cars around them. You should try sitting behind wankers that tow horse floats - they will not move over for anybody including big ol' trucks. Empty or full they don't move off the black top, period. But like orangeLJ said - its not just the learner but also the idiot teacher in the passenger seat who should know better in the first place.... Road works ?! Motorvation car show is not happening for me this year :y: Everythings not finished propperly, and I don't have the time or money to fix it. It's actually got down to "fix the car or keep the house"! You can do one lane at a time you know!! And why does one lane stay shut?? Oh thats right, their cars are parked in it!! I swear that when they do shit like that the toll should be waived!! I lost enough in petrol just sitting there. They left the highway far too long to fix. Quote
