JiP Posted November 23, 2008 Report Posted November 23, 2008 I was a sleep. Now I'm not. All cause mum and dad don't know how to trouble shoot the smeggin TV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
JiP Posted November 24, 2008 Report Posted November 24, 2008 My boss. He was a bit crabby today. He wants to ban my phone. All cause i got 19 text messages while at work. I can't leave my phone in my car. What if someone needs to get through to me in an emergency! Grr... Quote
love ke70 Posted November 24, 2008 Report Posted November 24, 2008 do you read them when you get them? if you do, then he has every right to be pissed off, if you don't, tell him to shove it. rule of thumb for me is, if its a call, check the number, if its important ask to take it, if its not important it will wait til lunch. if its a txt, its not important and will wait til your next break before you even check who its from. towe001 Posted November 24, 2008 Report Posted November 24, 2008 I generally carry my phone with me cause of the clock and calculator on it. But i have my phone set on "meeting", and it only beeps once when i receive a message (if i get the time i'll check it and maybe reply) everything else is silent, Anything to do with an emergency goes straight to the office, that way the office staff and boss know why i'm running out the door. At times i think it pisses the girlfriend off cause she'll message asking me something and i won't reply for about 2-3 hours. So yeah, having the mobile doesn't really bother me as long as its quiet, your not answering phone calls, texting nonstop, cause work comes first. Unless your a rep or the owner, manager, boss then having the mobile up loud and talking away is apart of work. Quote
67Rolla-Ken Posted November 24, 2008 Report Posted November 24, 2008 The joys of having a job where the bosses leave you alone. I make them over $1m clear profit each year, I'll take as many calls as I like! Quote

67Rolla-Ken Posted November 24, 2008 Report Posted November 24, 2008 I sell pumps, and pump parts. I don't personally generate all of those sales, but I take the enquiry, find the parts or pumps, quote the customer, and hopefully process the sale. We have 2 external sales guys bringing in more custom, and me and 1 other guy processing all the internal orders. Most of my sales are repeat business due to us making the customers pumpsets in the beginning. My pay is good for an unskilled salesman :D , remember I traded up to the 67 Rolla from a V8 Soarer :P Quote
towe001 Posted November 24, 2008 Report Posted November 24, 2008 Like, What The F.... I just finished my yahoo email, closed down firefox, went to the bedroom to get the laptop so that i could sit in front of the idiot box. Grabbed the laptop set it up in front of the tv, went back to the desktop to start up a download and get some files ready for transfer to the laptop. Went out to the lounge room to find the girlfriend sitting in front of the laptop plugging away :P :jamie: Back to the desktop i go to check my email etc etc Go to the sign page "Sorry incorrect user name and/or password" No matter what i did...... even pushing the girlfriend off the laptop and trying from there.... :D till i tried doing a search for my profile and the yahoos profile search page was "sorry but the page you are looking for is no longer available"..... :P Went back to the main page and low and behold "Robert, you have 5 new messages"....... :( Like, you have got to be phuckin' kidding me Quote

towe001 Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 Finding out that my supervisor was still half cut from last night I'd also love to know how he got his forklift ticket. Maybe i could do the same thing and get it as well.... Also he's a lazy phuck as well About the only thing i like about the guy at times is being able to pay out on him Like "So, have you finely stopped swimming around in that schooner like the fish you are......" "Still bouncing off the walls, still pissed i see...." "Don't forget to spread the forks before you go grabbing a pallet...." "Maybe tilting the forks back will help in getting the pallet off...." "Or just forget the whole idea, get off and let me drive the fork lift...." - even knowing that i don't have the ticket Quote
67Rolla-Ken Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 (edited) Any moron can get a forklift ticket... I've got one :no2: Edit: That brings me to something that grinds my gears. I hired a storeman because he had several years experiance and seemed like a nice enough guy. He is useless on a fork, can't think for himself, and is basically a waste of oxygen! We got a 16yo to "help" him do his one man job... and the kid does everything better than him!! AND he's so dumb he thinks it's a great thing that we got someone to do his job for him! If it wasn't for the absolutely ridiculus rule that you have to be 18 to get a fork ticket, the kid would have his job! Now we are trying to get him to just keep things that need to be moved with a forklift tidy... I end up giving up waiting for him to do it and doing it myself. Anyone know of a good storman looking for work in WA?? Edited November 28, 2008 by Dunadan Quote
