another mouse hate story, the stocko DELL mouse i have here, the stupid scroll wheel rubber thing has detached it self from the actual scroll wheel, so half the time I'm just spinning the rubber around when I'm trying to scroll...

i miss my G5 at home :( ...thinking about buying another and using it at work. is that too nerdy?

I've got to live with mine :(

I do have another one (mouse/keyboard combo) but the receiver for it some fool stepped on it. Phuckin brilliant combo, i think, all the buttons in the right spots. The typical front pair of buttons, the wheel could be pushed (like the norm) but it could also be used for left/right moving and it also had the two page flip buttons behind the scroll wheel. Phuckin excellent mouse no accidents possible unless it was thrown at someone.

Australian air Express and I don't share the same definition of "Express". To me, express is not "I could have comfortably driven to Sydney and back to pickup my parcel faster than you're able to deliver it". Star Track or Fastway or GTFO.

We had a large multi national freight company ship an urgent aircraft part. It was meant to go by air from Atlanta to LA to us. It went from Atlanta by road to JFK (New York, yes the wrong way entirely), then to LA to us. The jet sat for an extra two days at around 200k a day.

AAE have nothing compared to these guys.

I seriously wonder how they've ended up as one of the worlds largest freight companies.

If you want to see the world stop turning, "AOG" (Aircraft On Ground) aircraft parts are a good start. Generally, things get sent, arrive, and clear customs faster than you could ever imagine. However, this particular freight company seems at times incapable of sending anything anywhere within two working months.

AOG spares are also one area where rival airlines will help to supply parts if all other options fail. Mainly because one day, they may need it too.

My last (proper) girlfriend's father is an avionics tech.

His company don't bother with freight, as they've worked out its much easier to buy him a seat on the next available flight to wherever the AOG is, and he takes his little tool kit and the required parts as luggage.

Quite often we'd go over for a bbq at her folks place on the weekend or something... "Oh yeah sorry, your dad is in the Maldives swapping the radar nacelle in an Embraer E190. He'll be back in the morning."
