Went into an auto shop to grab just a clutch disc only to find thats its a discontinued item. The only way to get one is to buy the whole kit....

^^^ This

I have a LWB Suzuki Sierra ute on the farm.

Its a rusty bucket of shit, will never see the road again, but its perfect for my property as it fits the firefighting tank & pump in the back, and can squeeze down tracks a normal ute wouldn't fit.

It needed a clutch.

Can't buy just the disc anymore, had to get a whole kit. $168 later...

The whole car only cost me a carton of XXXX Gold!

Yeah its frigging stupid.

Just how damn hard is it to slip a disc to the side before it gets placed into a bloody box.

Man, i couldn't even careless if it was just wrapped in plastic with a part number written on it.....

Itchy eyes.

Bugging me so bad, tried eye drops, washing them out with water and i've been dabbing them all day long with moist tissues..

my mate bought a clutch disc for his s1 rx7 from exedy.

just the disc, no pressure plate or kit.

he got it from supercheap auto, just walked on in with a part number and picked it up the next day.

not sure where he got he part number from...exedy website maybe? was a ceramic cushioned button somethingarutha.

WGMG, being sick over the holidays, it is the only time that I ever get sick, now I have the rest of the week off as I have to take tablets to keep fluids in at both ends.

Fixed it and the mech says wanna come for a test drive??, me being me said yeah alright, ended up being a test ride I wont forget at a dollar twenty - 160 up and down mt cootha here in brissy, and he says you wanna go faster with a smile on his face :P , loved every minute of it but would never try it myself

The only time I will give a customers car a bootfull is when checking boost levels and smooth running at high rpm.

working with lots of old english sports cars, triumph stags v8's particularly things that are very susceptable to breakage, i find if you give it a bootful without driving like a retard (over-revving, clutch coasting etc like BAD driving) gives you a better feel for what you've done/what you've got to fix if you know what you're looking for :)

Surprisingly, I never once took a Triumph for a drive when I was working at R&T, went passenger many times but that is it.
