Redwarf Posted August 13, 2010 Report Posted August 13, 2010 Do you happen to know where I could buy the afore mentioned pig? My alcohol bill would reduce considerably if I could find one. :fuzz: Quote
7shades Posted August 13, 2010 Report Posted August 13, 2010 I've struck a deal with Mercedes, after yelling my way up the phone tree until I was able to talk to someone authorised to be in the same room as a decision. I'll be replacing the pads and rotors with aftermarket ones, instead of genuine failtainium Merc garbage. They are supplying me with new wear sensors too. And I have it in writing that even after I do this, they will honour the warranty on all other components except the brakes. I'm fine with that, DBA stuff is pretty good and I'm not expecting it to f@$k up. My next service is also free :fuzz: Moderately placated at this point. No blood shall be spilled this day. Now, I'm off to my lakeside retreat to contemplate the weeks events with a chai tea beside the fire. Quote

I was also told that Corona's are not made in mexico but the syrup is and is bought in and is produced and bottled here because mexican water isn't good enough for our consumption. Is that true? Good to see that you have a good outcome. Now, I'm off to my lakeside retreat to contemplate the weeks events with a chai tea beside the fire. I think you have the wrong kind of merc, perhaps a smaller luxury convertible in pink would be better :fuzz: Quote
CA-ROLLA Posted August 13, 2010 Report Posted August 13, 2010 In comparison to an actually good beer, both are absolute crap. Even amongst mainstream Australian offerings they are absolute crap. try little creatures if u get a chance hiro a great australian beer brewed in W.A Quote

Hiro Protagonist Posted August 13, 2010 Report Posted August 13, 2010 I bet you drink wine hahaha :fuzz: :P sorry man i had to say it if you want a good beer XXXX and CORONA are THE shit  :? Yes, I drink wine. I also drink beer, rum, vodka, bourbon, whiskey, whisky, mead, port, sherry and many other spirits. XXXX is one of the aforementioned craptastic local beers. Most mainstream Australian beers are so bland and inoffensive that they can barely be called beer - that and they are served at a near-freezing temperature to kill any remaining flavour that might have snuck through the manufacturing process. As for Corona, I like to quote several embittered beer/wine critics who argue that the wedge of lemon/lime shoved down the throat of the bottle is the only semblence of flavour. It is a beer so utterly bland and innoccuous that people must only be drinking it for image purposes rather than actual taste. try little creatures if u get a chance hiro a great australian beer brewed in W.A Trust me, you don't need to educate me about good local beers. In fact, I've just finished off a case of Little Creatures Single Batch Brown. I was also told that Corona's are not made in mexico but the syrup is and is bought in and is produced and bottled here because mexican water isn't good enough for our consumption. Is that true? As far as I am aware, Corona is still brewed and bottled in Mexico. That, and you can't really have beer "syrup", it's not like it's Coke or cordial. Fairly sure I remember urban legends/myths in relation to the lemon wedge referring to the reason behind their use is that the acid in the lemon juice kills any bacteria that might be present from poor quality water, which ignores the fact that during production the water used is thoroughly boiled anyway. B.L.Z.BUB Posted August 13, 2010 Report Posted August 13, 2010 Someone start a thread to argue what's the best booze. For me it's Powers Gold all the way... :fuzz: Or on a good day, Peroni. God I'm drooling just thinking of it...... Quote

Yeah I have never found anything on the net about it, I have always thought it was bs since the apprentice at my last job told me. Quote

I'd drink to that And by Peroni, do you mean the pale lager Peroni or the premium Nastro Azzuro (the variant which is commonly available in Australia)? Since I have never actually seen the beer Peroni on sale in Australia, the name links to Nastro Azzuro instead (as Peroni is the name of the company too). Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted August 14, 2010 Report Posted August 14, 2010 Just the Aussie one. So so so good, and the light one is freakin just as good as the full strength. Quit talking about it! Its only 11:16 and I'm tonguing for one... :fuzz: Quote
towe001 Posted August 14, 2010 Report Posted August 14, 2010 Is the Vito the same van that the Queensland Ambulance Service, Australia Post and some Police use? If it is I wonder if the Ambulance service finds it more economical than the old F-150's? (Or is it F-250?) Its the F250. Saw one today. Don't mind the grumble of the diesel v8. Quote
