Industrial areas are public roads fool, This sort of shit is what causes the Police to hit forums.

not really, cops know industrial areas are hooning hot spots.

to be honest, everyone feels the urge to drive like a tool, and if theyre gonna do it, I'm much happier if it gets done in an industrial area than up my street :lolcry:

theres no children playing in the streets etc etc i know its still a public road but i think its alot safer.

why can't the police leave us along in a certian industrial area so we don't burnouts/drag race/drift on suburben areas?

the police say go to a track if you want to be hoons, but its 3 times a year and ive heard of people getting a defect on the grass car park for being to low?

WTF????

Do you not get it? its still a PUBLIC ROAD. Doesnt matter which road you go and do it on. its still illegal.

These days theres more likely hood that you'll get caught in an industrial area due to the po po cottoning onto it.

if you wanna go do skids, take it to the track. if you wanna keep going on the street, its a matter of when not if you will get caught. especially those who post videos of this stuff

Remember, Some people don't even need to be drifting to hill poles n shit.

WGMG: The South Australian Government site.

Trying to find the modifications part to find out what is said about trumpets on a efi system for a 20v. Have found the site that explains seat mods, bonnet mods etc once before but I'll be damned if I can find it again.

Grrr.

Edit: Think I finally found the sucker!

Edit x2: Nope, just the exemptions...Back to searching I go.

You are not going to find something as simple as "trumpets on a 20V or similar".

The issue surrounding the trumpets would be more of an emissions type etc. ie. does running an open trumpet set-up affect mixtures and therefore emissions to make the car non compliant. This will depend on the type of car you are putting the engine in and the age and emissions for that era :lolcry:

Id say 100% that its illegal as it makes more noise than stock, also emisions

Travis

Trav different states different rules..... also, different emissions regs apply to different age cars here in SA at least, you could probably get away with it in a pre-80's car :lolcry:

Dickhead tryhards in shopping center carparks.

Saw a couple of wankers today trying to get peoples attention by revving out their cars in a carpark. Firstly some dick in a FWD corolla with an exhaust that sounded like a wet fart, and also a nice looking early celica.

Doing 60 kays in a shopping center carpark is stupid. I was hoping someone in a big 4by would pull out of a park and mangle the idiots cars.

I'll agree whole heartily with you there Felix. Racing through car parks is just plain stupid, reckless and dangerous. Don't know about you, not condoning the act of doing it, but i'd really really love to swing a shopping trolley in front of one the idiots and see how they react.

Who has seen the video of the kids that crash into each other while racing around a carpark?

Funny, but could have been dangerous as f@$k if they hit someone, i rekcon they were doing over 80km at some points

Yeah thanks Luke, I knew that it wouldn't be specific for 'trumpers on a 20v' but more efi in general. Planning on a 20v blacktop in a ke30 so yeah.

Want to run the setup that LittleRedSpirit (most common read thread for 20v's I could think of) had, where he had the trumpets and then the sheet metal to block off the hot air from the cold. Want to get it engineered though so may just have to make an airbox up for Regency Pits to be happy anyway.

Still haven't found it either, knew where it was last year.

LOL! I know a guy that cruises around in his dead stock falcon and when hes driving past people he will shift the auto back into neutral, rev it up, then put it back in gear and keep on driving.
